"You don't remember what happened next?" Kian asks again.
I can hardly believe he's arrogant enough to eavesdrop on my 'confidential' therapy session.
"I can't believe it. What's wrong with you?"
"Don't push me, Alex."
"Stop calling me that."
"You used to like it."
I shake my head and brush him aside, hurrying past when he reaches out.
"Don't touch me," I snap, not looking behind, though I feel an anger bubble up.
I hear a few quick footsteps behind me and before I can quicken my pace, his hands have turned me and are pinning me against the wall.
I look down, refusing to meet his intense stare.
"Look at me Alex."
"Leave me alone," I mumble.
"Look at me."
I can't move. My throat becomes tight, and I squeeze my eyes shut. I can feel the prickling sensation in my body telling me he's a vampire, but the icy fingers aren't creeping up my back anymore.
"Alex."
