Genuine Concern

Harper was just finishing her sketch when her phone lit up beside her sketchbook. The rest of her crew had gone. They were off to do some shopping.

Gwyneth put it lightly, but Harper understood their excitement about going around New York and doing some window shopping. She had been there before.

Harper declined their invitation to join. She felt a little inspired to draw some designs and didn’t want the creativity to leave her.

Reading a text message from Roland, she smiled. He remembered to tell her about the password and added that he would be home late.

“How late is late?” Harper had started typing and was about to hit send when she realized what she was doing.

Muttering a curse, she deleted the text and typed in ‘okay’ and ‘take care’ instead. Dropping her phone, Harper ran a hand through her hair. She let out a sigh.
