Chapter 11 - Warmth of the Night

Xavier's hands abruptly reached for my bosom. He grabbed the uppermost button of my gown and opened it. I was puzzled by the sudden roughness.

His slender, long fingers started to find their way from one button to the next. He stopped for a moment near my cleavage.

His breath was getting heavier. I could feel the burning need in his uncoordinated actions.

"L-Lord?" I asked hesitantly. "I said this last night as well. I am not prepared for this yet," I said, shoving his hand away from my chest.

"Hm? But does that matter, My Lady? Aren't you upset because I still have a bond with my mate? " Xavier asked teasingly.

I remained quiet for a moment. "My apologies, Lord Xavier. I should not have gotten concerned over something personal to the Lord. Please allow me to rest in my bed-chamber tonight," I said calmly, trying my best not to panic.

"I can not, Lady Alessandra," Xavier rejected, chuckling, and seized my waist, drawing me closer.
