Chapter 33 - Breach

"My Lord, please do not hurt that boy," I cried out desperately.

Xavier frowned at my request. He uncrossed his legs and leaned forward, staring into my eyes.

"Why does that boy matter so much to My Lady? The boy was the same. He was battered to almost losing his life, yet refused to spill any details. He was continuously begging not to doubt My Lady. What kind of relationship does Lady Alessandra have with that boy?" Xavier got up from the couch and asked me, grabbing my chin with force.

"He is my butler, My Lord," I said calmly. "He came here to inform me about the chaos that was going on in the vampire realm. I even sent you a letter explaining bits and pieces. But you never responded to it," I said in a tiny voice.

"I did not receive any letter from My Lady," Xavier said.

I was surprised to hear that. Those witch cats were not reliable after all, or someone intentionally prevented them from reaching their destination.
