Chapter 64 - Nightmare

I let my body relax in the warm water of the moon suite. It felt like ages since Rosaria last bathed me.

"My Lady, the palace felt so empty without you," Rosaria said while gently rubbing my temples.

"I missed your massage, Rosaria," I said, leaning back on the pool and closing my eyes.

"All the maids were worried for you, My Lady. After you left, Lady Claire revealed her true colors. Her behavior only got worse. It became hard for the maids even to breathe inside the palace," Rosaria said.

I suddenly felt interested. "How come Lord Xavier agreed to let Lady Claire leave?" I asked.

"Lady Claire was pretty good at convincing, My Lady," Rosaria said, gently washing my hair. "I heard that the human kingdom was also under attack. Lady Claire wanted to meet her father."

It was indeed convincing. However, I had observed how crazy Lady Claire's temper could get. It was hard to pursue the wolves.
