Chapter 79 - Awakening

The sudden blast of alpha energy spread the entire arena as the citrine ambiance reached the sky, touching the clouds like a tornado. A massive pair of amber eyes appeared within it.

Everyone paused as the energy continued to emit from where Arendt had pointed earlier.

"Edrik," Xavier mumbled anxiously. Xavier shifted into his massive wolf within a glimpse as he headed to the source of energy.

Lord Cardis followed Xavier as the blood plant left Arendt's body, throwing it away.

Arendt fell to the ground like a ragged doll. The rogue vampires encircled him, staring at him with sparkling eyes, thinking they could get their hands on Lord Cardis's companion. It was undoubtedly a massive opportunity to absorb Arendt's power.

Arendt coughed blood again, attempting to get up. It felt strange that Lord Cardis had decided to abandon Arendt after all these years.

"If Lord Cardis wished to end Arendt's life, wouldn't he at least consider taking it himself?" I wondered.
