Chapter 04 Growth and Determination.

I woke as the light from the sun shines over my face. I looked at the unfamiliar ceiling and scanned the room.

'Where am I? I remember that I was carrying Kaina away from the house. And then....' (Shin)

I panicked as I remember everything that happened. I looked immediately got up and went outside the room. To my surprise an old lady carrying some bucket was in front of me. I greeted the old lady and asked where I was. She then asked me to go back to my room so we could talk.

"Thank you for saving me. My name is Shin. I would like to ask where is Kaina? The girl that I was with." (Shin)

"You're welcome young man, the one you're searching is already buried in the cemetery. Apparently she died from losing too much blood."

"I see..... " (Shin)

"Don't be sad young man. She was content before leaving this world."

Remembering her last moments, how she just smiled at the very end I forced myself to stop getting emotional.

'I can still revive her since the system held on her soul. Right now I have to focus on getting stronger. I have a debt to collect from that bastard (Demon). Keep that head of yours till I remove it myself. I promise!' (Shin)

"Where am I? Who brought me here?" (Shin)

"A demon slayer brought you here."

"I see... Wait. How did you know about them?" (Shin)

"I was once saved by them so there's nothing strange about me knowing about them. And besides I work for them as information gatherer and host to demon slayer. "

"I see.. So granny, can I stay here for a long time? " (Shin)

"Sure you can, as a fellow survivor from those demon I can let you stay here. But you have to help in here as there's no free lunch in this world. "

"Thank you granny. You can count on me." (Shin)

A month had passed since then. And system has returned from it's slumber.

'System, can you recreate techniques from different Anime? ' (Shin)

'Then, can you tell me if it's possible to recreate Hamon? Since this world is filled with demons that it's weak from the sun, I want to use Hamon. Can you do that? '(Shin)

*Yes host. As I read your memories, I saw how Hamon works. It's comparable to Sun Breathing Style.*

'Then please do it.' (Shin)

*Affermative. Reminder: it would take a month to recreate Hamon.*

'It's okay, I'm not on rush using Hamon. I still need to train this body to the limit.' (Shin)

Time flew and it has been 2 years since then. This 2 years had been fruitful as I was able to master Hamon (Ripple) and a sword style which was used by Kenshi Himura of Samurai X that was called Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu (Flying Heaven Govern Sword Style). Doing a grueling training in order to make my body suitable for Hamon and also for Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu as this techniques require a very strong body as the technique cumulatively damages the physical body. Because of it's requirement of a very strong body, Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu was also called as "superhuman sword art". Well thanks to system assistance that my body can handle such technique. I also blended Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu with Hamon as to fight against the demons especially the demon whom have a debt to pay.

I didn't just physically train but also I hunted demons near the village as I wanted to prevent the same thing that happened to me to happen on others. My actions did not go unnoticed as granny or Pinako the Innkeeper and information gatherer that works for Demon Slayer. Granny tried to stop me with my revenge as she said that Kaina wouldn't want that but I was adamant on having my revenge as I cannot forgive that demon (Doma) for hurting someone dear to me. Granny helped me from training since she knew a lot of things except breathing and sword techniques as she didn't learn any. Granny provided me not only a place to stay and train but also Nichirin sword that can kill demons.

Right now I was facing a demon which had invaded the village. It was a normal demon as it didn't have a number in it's eyes but I didn't let my guard down as there was one demon with overwhelming strength that didn't have a number on it's eyes and has ability to shape shift (Muzan Kibutsujin). I readied myself as I took a stance. I exhaled air and started dashing towards my opponent.

"Ripple Breathing Style - First Form: Twin Dragon Flash." (Shin)

A twin head golden dragon silhouette appeared behind me. As I said that, pulled the katana from the sheath and attacked the demon on the neck. The demon manage to evade the sword but was hit in the head by the sheath that was filled with Ripple energy. The sheath that was made in wood is a good conductor to Ripple energy which is as deadly as the Nichirin sword.

BANG

THUD

The demon's head melted as the Ripple energy destroys the demon cells as Ripple energy is the same as the sun. The demon twitched for a moment before starting to turn into ash. Watching till the last ash, I decided to return home and report that the demon was killed.
