Chapter 19

Fortunately, Obaa Yaa also tested negative for Covid -19 but was taken to an orphanage whilst in quarantine where she could be taken care of. She cried all day and would not eat and mentioned Asabea and Gyebi's names every day. As soon as Gyebi and Asabea were released from isolation, the health officials begged them to visit the child and see to her welfare, which they gladly did.

" Welcome, my friends," she said joyfully. " I was alone in this house, crying and calling out your names. Where have you been?"

" We were also somewhere else, quarantined and have now been released."

" Quarantine is not good for anyone," she said.

" But it's important if we want to keep the number of infections down."

" Yes. Have you heard from my mother?"

" Not yet, Obaa Yaa. We will not be allowed to visit her in the facility she was placed."

" I thought you were at the same place?"

" No."

" I miss her."
