Chapter 2

It's been two weeks since Cameron and I last talked and met too. We've crossed paths thousands of times...everyday...on my way to work, on my way back home but we acted as though we didn't know each other. Miguel's been pestering me ever since asking me to let him into my life. I just don't wanna make the wrong choice.

I walk past the alley holding on so tight to my handbag. I was just returning from work when it started to rain.

I stood under a shade for 2 hours + waiting for the rain to subside and when it wouldn't I clenched my bag so tight and began walking under the rain. I was so soaked and felt cold. I froze when I saw Cameron. He was helping people as usual...the old Cameron. My face became bright as a smile plays on my lips. Despite the fact he didn't want to talk to me, he still remembered me...carried me in his heart wherever he went.

A tear drop falls from my eyes as he turns around and sees me. I wipe it off immediately and turn around to leave hoping he'd stop me but he didn't. My heart was beating for him...I felt helpless and hopeless without him. "Fuck you Miguel! I'd never forgive you". I curse under my breath.

I hold onto my jacket so tight as the wind blew me...my steps shaky yet unaltered. I flagged down a cab.

"Millicent's store". I say.

Millicent's store is close to my apartment.

"No ma'am, I'm sorry I won't reach there". He says.

"Okay wait. Annie's mall..." I was still speaking when someone interrupted me.

"There'll be no need for that. Sorry for wasting your time sir, you can leave". The person says as I spin around to see who it was.

"You?!" We both say at the same time as our eyes come in contact with each others' and lock.
