Alyssa Romani is a seventeen year old girl who spends her time working at her family’s restaurant, going to school, and taking care of her sixteen year old brother, Hunter. One day when she’s at work, she overhears something that she shouldn’t have and that’s when she falls right into the lap of Austin Dechart. 

Mr. Dechart

"Ma'am? Ma'am wake up. Slowly open your eyes." I heard someone say. I was confused as to when did I go to sleep? Slowly opening my eyes, I was met with a pair of brown ones looking back at me. I blinked a couple of times to make sure that what I'm seeing is real. I'm sure by the confused look on my face, she knew that I had questions. 


As I tried to open my mouth to speak, I started to cough really bad which led the lady to grab me a cup of water that was next to me. She angled my head up right as she put the cup to my lips. Taking a few sips of the water, my throat suddenly felt better. It took me some time before I could speak but I could finally. "Where am I?" I asked as I looked around. 


It looks like a hospital room but I could never be too sure. I've seen many movies where they pretend that they're in a hospital room but really it's a simulation. Mentally shaking my head, I close my eyes, and take a deep breath. I really need to stop watching tv.
