Zara couldn’t believe that such a nice-looking man could be so…cruel. His greying hair gave him an elderly disposition and the tender look in his eyes hid demons. Zara paled, unwilling to face him anymore.

Yes, she’d been determined to wait out here for him in order to confront him, but now, that determination had wilted like a weevil-infested plant. Her legs were trembling and her hands had clenched into fists.
