The day wasn’t boring at all and Zara found herself delicately sipping her wine, her curiosity raised. She’d finally gotten to finish her detective novel and had moved on to another genre—a sci-fi set in the future. It was amazing to read.

It turned out—as she gotten to find out—that Andrew was a lover of a wide genre of novels. That wold explain the many novels she’d been able to dig out in his shelf. Either that, or he just loved collecting. Most of the novels she was sure hadn’t been read since they’d been stacked in there.

She took another sip of wine and let her eyes absorbed the action that unfolded within the pages of the book. A good book—she felt—was one that had the capacity to leave her with questions, ideas and interpretation rather than trying to force an impression on her. She liked it that way, the intrigue was far more fascinating.
