“It can’t be true,” Bella said, her hand shaking. Zara was worried that it might slip and cut the child. But, it seemed like she had more control over her emotions that she’d thought. The knife never slipped and it didn’t cut the child. “He’s lying. I know Aaron and I know he couldn’t have done something like that. Wasn’t there someone else at that time?”

“Why did he want you to do it?” Zara asked, ignoring Bella’s outburst. She was just in denial. She wasn’t ready to believe that Aaron was capable of such despicable acts. But, it was clear.
