What is Anger? I Am Angered (1/2)

At the stage of a Mortal Sage, one's soul is fully reforged and breaks through the restriction of the Origin Core.

Once this occurs, Mortal Sages wouldn't die even if their heart and head exploded. Once their Soul which was capable of traveling around the body was intact, the Mortal Sage would still be alive.

In this stage, a Mortal Sage could release something known as a Divine Sense. This divine sense was akin to a special zone. Inside this zone, a Mortal Sage could sense practically everything.

From hearing anything to seeing anything. It went as deep as peering through the normal five senses and acquiring a sixth sense.

Once someone who wasn't a Mortal Sage resided inside the divine sense of a Mortal Sage, even their intentions and emotions couldn't be hidden.

Even if they had hidden intentions, this would not be hidden in front of a Mortal Sage's divine sense so, this was the reason why they held the title of Sage.

Their knowledge was beyond what Martial Sovereigns and those below this realm could understand, they were like scholars or sages!

What?

You're a serial killer!

Oh, you can hide your killing intent...

Well, not in front of I, Dio... I mean, not in front of me, a Mortal Sage, and my divine sense.

The divine sense of Mortal Sages varies. It solely depended on the strength of the soul and the willpower of the individual. For Body Cultivators that filled this world, their souls are normally much weaker than Soul cultivators but, their willpower is higher.

For Soul cultivators, their soul is more powerful and their willpower normally tend to be weaker due to the lesser amount of bloodshed they underwent in the world of soul cultivation.

But, then there was Blade. Every time his system leveled up, and every time his soul underwent inhumane pain, his soul grew more and more powerful. The bloodshed and torture he underwent in this world, coupled with the forceful evolution of his soul skyrocketed his willpower.

Both his soul and his willpower were much higher when compared to normal Mortal Sages. And the payoff was, his divine sense encompassed a much larger distance.

After undergoing a few minutes of soul-wrenching torture from being refined by Chaos Qi, Blade's soul underwent another qualitative leap. Especially since, during this time, his soul was being forcefully evolved due to the system upgrade happening at the same time.

From several tens of miles, his divine sense surpassed the thirteenth sector, it then surpassed the fifteenth where Blade sensed Athena's pale figure once sensing the incredible force of the golden ball explosion...

The fifteenth sector was the outer edges of the Forbidden Zone 029. Once passing this, the divine sense didn't show any desire to stop expanding.

Passing the chasm which separated the Forbidden Zone and the Limitless Sky Continent, the divine sense swept past the Hidden City.

Surprisingly, some places inside this city were unable to be sensed by his divine sense, and Blade didn't probe these places. Similarly to how he had one, others also had divine senses. When the two met, they canceled each other out unless one was of much higher quality.

Though his divine sense was higher in quality than some others, his mood was fluctuating greatly as his divine sense spread out more and more.

After expanding to its limits, reaching a majestical several tens of thousands of miles, Blade heard things that made his expressions sink.

His face darkened as he stood up to his feet...

Thud!

He fell to his bum. His eyes were wide and the mysterious glow of amber-gold that radiated within those vile and evil purple orbs flickered before disappearing...

"W-What...?" Blade's voice was broken. "This... it isn't true right...?" He was in a daze. "My property... my possession... mine... mine... MINE!"

The word reverberated throughout sector 13 as Blade's figure disappeared. With one step, he reappeared in sector 15, as if he had teleported or something...!

His face was distorted as Athena's eyes met with his. Immediately, she felt something was wrong with Blade and instinctively, she felt trepidation.

Something was not right with Blade. No, she saw him angry before, but this time, it seemed different.

...

...

"Young Holy Child of the Limitless Sky Sect...!" Chu Peng's right arm lifted Andra's current body in the air. Blood escaped Andra's orifices and her eyes seemed dull as if she had accepted her fate.

"You're nothing more than a pitiful little thing. A weakling that has too much arrogance for your own good.

Only beings like me, maybe that Blade of your Sect, only we beings who can gain strength in a few years that others gained after thousands of years of bitter cultivation and life-and-death battles...

Only we can be arrogant like you have been...!" Saying this, he leisurely swung his hand, throwing Andra's body toward the earth several tens of meters below.

Boom!

The ground shook and exploded upon impact as Andra's body caused a several-meter-deep crater to be formed. Seeping out of her wounds was blood that formed a pool around her.

"A pity you're a male. Otherwise, I'd like to have taught you a lesson too. But, even then, it seems like Blade and you have a special relationship!" Smirking, Chu Peng's eyes flashed with both disgust and pleasure.

His body blurred. Killing intent flashed from his eyes as his right leg rushed toward Andra's neck, ready to crush her bones and kill her instantly.

Boom!

Suddenly, before he could though, an explosion took place. "Junior, why don't you give me face and spare my disciple? I'll ignore what has taken place if you do, otherwise, humph!..." Astral's voice resounded in Chu Peng's ears.

His actions paused for a moment.

"Spare your disciple, this arrogant bastard? Hahaha, when he came to kill me, were you willing to spare me? Humph! Attack if you dare to cause your Limitless Sky Sect to lose even more face! All due to a senior of the previous generations attacking a junior of the new generation."

Thrum!

As his words landed, they entered the ears of all who spied on this battle via divine sense. These beings included the upper echelon of the Limitless Sky Sect, the special beings inside this continent who were related to the Limitless Sky Sect inside the Hidden City, and even individuals from other continents who traveled here simply to watch the actions of this Chu Peng.

If Astral truly did attack, these beings would immediately spread the word. Limitless Sky Sect would become a public joke, and the Heavenly Demon Sect would have all reasons to attack the Sect and might even get support from the other Sects and Factions of this world...!

It was a true lose-lose situation.

Chu Peng's right leg made its way toward Andra's neck once more. Her eyes were half open and lifeless.

"Tsk! Do you think I don't dare? I'll destroy you, your Heavenly Demon Sect, and any other faction that dares to support them!"

What Astral said was his truest opinion. His status, unlike the other Overseers, was different. He chose to become an Overseer due to his cautious personality. He wanted to seclude himself and cultivate in a mortal world.

But, his status was way above. So too was his power. He was a Mortal Transcendent similar to other Overseers of the Limitless Sky Sect and even the other factions of this world but, in the Mortal Transcendent realm, he was Invincible!

A sword light appeared in the skies. The power radiating from it was immense and endless as the skies and space around it collapsed and slowly, it made its way toward Chu Peng as if giving him time to change his decision.

And this was his intention. No matter how powerful, he didn't want to make a move against Chu Peng, not that he was scared of him or the backing behind him, but due to his cautious personality.

Humph!

Coldly snorting, Chu Peng sent his leg toward Andra's neck! Simultaneously, the sword light sped up, destroying any sound barrier and even surpassing light itself...!

Crunch!

Yet, a leg landed on Andra's neck. All bones were instantly crushed and her neck snapped. Andra's eyes widened for a moment, as any speck of light disappeared.

"Fufufu... It's been a while, Astral..." A seductive voice reverberated. The sword light stopped mid-air not by Astral's doing but seemingly by this voice.

"You!" Astral shouted. His anger soared through the roof as a crack appeared in the skies and Astral's figure flashed out. He hadn't expected this to happen.

For he had cared slightly for this second disciple of his. Unlike his first, this one didn't leave, and slowly, the cautiousness he'd feel if seeing Dolion in danger would disappear and he promised secretly to protect Dolion in his mind.

Now, there was a figure of the Demonic Faction that killed his disciple. Not only did this place shame on his head, he felt his heart burn with anger and hatred.

Andra's body remained unmoving as Chu Peng watched her humanoid body in shock, not caring about Astral's presence.

"Oh, shockingly her head didn't become a bloody mist... Quite the durability for a Martial King! Anyway, mother..." He turned his gaze to see a demoness standing in front of him, blocking Astral from reaching his figure.
