Overbearing Aura

In the skies above Heavenly Celestial Sect, the space trembled and ripples formed as with a crunching sound, a glass-like crack appeared.

This crack started as less than a meter long but soon grew more and more, eventually reaching three meters long and even more in width.

What was revealed was an impenetrable and omnipresent darkness, yet three pairs of legs stepped out of this darkness and into the world.

"And then there was light."

Escaping the darkness and being baptized by the sunlight the humanoid figure to the right jokingly said as though he was covered by wounds, but it seemed not to affect him.

He had short black hair and a pair of abyss-like black eyes. His skin was pale and his clothes were tattered and bloodied. The gas mask on his face was shattered.

"You can still joke after what happened with that fool?"

A pair of hazy purple eyes owned by the humanoid next to the black-haired young man who had just spoken out glanced toward him, revealing the death of one of their comrades.

This short figure was in a similar state to the black-haired young man. With a shattered gas mask and tattered clothing dampened in the blood which escaped the several wounds running across her body, the petite figure she owned seemed to be in its most sorry state yet she casually spoke, as if it didn't affect her.

"What does he have to do with me? Anyone with a brain would realize he'll die soon. Who told him to obsess over the boss to the point that he forgot that she didn't need his help..."

"Huh?!" Hearing his words, the small figure was shocked, "Weren't you two inseparable friends...?" But before she could continue, a devastatingly powerful aura froze her body.

Whether it was due to fear or the unknown force using a mysterious technique, it remained a mystery as another voice entered the surroundings, this time, owned by the human figure in the lead.

"Mia, Jason's correct. Adrian was beyond foolish. Not only did he get himself killed whilst trying to play a hero, he even prepared to harm and kill that boy even after I told him not to..."

Saying this, the crystal blue eyes owned by non-other than the one called Asmodeus released dazzling light as a mysterious force originating from her body escaped and traveled through time.

An almost transparent screen appeared in her vision, showcasing scenes that occurred in this world of a purple-haired young man battling against a certain demon.

"Luckily he is still alive and even underwent some changes. Once more, his origins have become more mysterious than I originally thought. The power he is radiating, though he's still a mere mortal, even as I am now, I'm not capable of seeing through it...!"

Waving her hand once again, the scene of all the mysterious forces gathering around the two doors of the holy lands appeared. Seeing it, the black-haired young man, Jason, gasped in shock.

"Wait what! The Holy Lands appeared already?!" As he said this, the scenes showcased the doors opening and later disappearing, signaling that not only had it appeared, but it was now impossible for any other genius to enter.

Tch!

"The sole reason we kept this place as it is was solely due to the Holy Lands. Now that it has disappeared, we've practically wasted a decade..."

Asmodeus was unable to suppress her anger but, as soon as this happened, she subconsciously released a devastating force that sent ripples throughout.

Certain beings immediately sensed these ripples and the tremendous force behind them. The trio was alerted right thereafter as powerful auras rapidly crossed millions of miles, rushing from the center of Green Star World toward them...

"Boss...?" Jason uttered. Right after, Mia said, "Damn, these people! As I am, even the average Mortal Transcendent can overpower me... And the worst thing is that they've got that despicable Astral fellow!"

Silence descended as Mia spoke these words. It seemed like their situation, merely moments after escaping one devastatingly dangerous location, was about to become even more tantalizingly dangerous.

"It's ok, how do you think we escaped from that broken dimension...?" Asmodeus questioned them as her aura began to expand.

"Let me tell you, it was a place only Official Executioner Teams should enter. Trainee Teams like us would normally die hence, we are given the task of cleansing worlds instead but, we survived and it wasn't due to luck but my power..." Asmodeus casually stated.

"Your power?..." Mia mumbled. Understanding dawned as a dazzling smirk appeared. Though one would only see half of her face due to the gas mask, it was beautiful enough to leave others dazzled.

"So it has reached 'that' realm. When did you break through, I couldn't sense a change at all?" Jason commented, his excitement bubbling as he already sensed that something spectacular was moments away from commencing.

"As soon as we left this mortal realm. After all, those who don't originate from a particular mortal world would never be capable of breaking past the mortal limits. This also means that now we'll have to move fast, lest the world is destroyed before we can cleanse it... Such a thing is also considered failing our task."

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

As Asmodeus's words resounded out, several loud explosions occurred. A powerful shockwave appeared above the Heavenly Celestial City but surprisingly, no mortal below was capable of hearing the event as no one was alerted.

Beams of light appeared. Rushing from the epicenter of the world, the top forces of the Green Star World made their presence known in a show of brilliant light. Powerful auras descended. Only now did the people below realize something was wrong as the weights of what felt like mountains rested on their shoulders.

If not for the active protection from the several defensive formations that protected this city, every being inside would have been squashed into bloody pulps by the powerful auras of multiple Mortal Transcendents descending like Heaven's Will.

The aura of a Mortal Transcendent... Boundless and Overbearing!

Entering Jason's vision were several figures. Each carried that transcendent aura. It was as if the gods of this world had appeared. Each aura was distinct from the other but carried two things that were unnervingly similar.

Detached and Immortal... An aura that showcased the utter dominance of a Mortal Transcendent over other mortal lifeforms. An aura that showcased complete Immortality in the face of other Mortals as even if millions or billions of mortals faced off against a Mortal Transcendent, there wasn't any hope for them whatsoever.

Pointing to a tall man with an aloof expression, Mia conveyed. "He's the Heavenly Celestial, the one who had appeared when we were now entering the broken dimension. Those two standing next to him are the Overseers of the Heavenly Celestial Sect."

Her words weren't heard by those newly appearing individuals. They directly entered the minds of Jason and Asmodeus via the use of an unknown technique.

"Those on the right are of the Godly Jade Empire. The four behind the crowned man are the ancestors of the Empire while he is the emperor..." Mia continued with the use of the strange technique but Asmodeus interrupted.

Raising her hand, Asmodeus said calmly and out loud for everyone to hear. "You need not continue with such pointless words. I don't need nor desire to know the names of dead individuals."

Thrum!

Her words traveled across the distance that separated the three from the group of Mortal Transcendents, causing waves of emotions to tremor throughout.

"Oh, we've got an arrogant little thing here." Godly Jade Emperor's voice was as arrogant as one would expect from an emperor. He took the lead as his golden crown shimmered under the sunlight like an ancient treasure containing boundless mysteries.

Those behind him including the people from other forces or individual powers all released the unkind intent that was previously hidden. No matter what, Asmodeus's words had already set off a chain reaction and there wasn't any chance of peace.

Clearly, she didn't place a group of almost twenty transcendent mortals in her eyes. Not one singular entity in this world would dare but this lifeform most probably wasn't. Who was to say she was even Human?

Thinking this, the killing intent in their eyes only rose. Facing this all was Asmodeus. Her figure was seemingly against a force capable of shattering the world itself yet she remained standing with a straight and upright back, visibly unbothered. Her eyes focused on Astral.

Astral, unlike the others, wasn't releasing that killing intent but instead, a different light was flashing in his eyes. Those black orbs contained an unknown gleam.

Crack...!

Tens of thousands of feet below cracks formed in what seemed to be the skies above the Heavenly Celestial City. Moments later, one would see a light blue flickering dome that covered the city appearing ever so often.

Knowledgeable people in the city instantly panicked. Only they knew... The protection array was slowly shattering.

Identifying Asmodeus, Astral released his aura, shocking the nearby Mortal Transcendents and even flinging some back.

Under his overbearing aura, the formations protecting the city below held no choice. Destruction was their only option!

"Oh, it seems the one titled Overly Cautious Genius of the Limitless Sky Faction is in this particular world..." Asmodeus, for the first time since appearing in this world, smirked.

"Fuck! You people damn well knew I was in this world, is this why they sent you all here?!" Astral growled as a flickering red sword appeared.

BOOM!

The moment this sword appeared, the sun disappeared. The skies of the Heavenly Celestial Continent were instantly shrouded by an ever-growing crimson fog!
