I am quite lucky

A white wisp was floating in a black space, in front of a screen that said, "May the lady luck be with you".

The wisp is my soul and I am quite confused as to why was I here. I clearly remembered my death, which was due to a terminal illness.

I died at the age of 50 while being a virgin. I was a virgin not due to my inability to woo a girl but due to the weak body that I possessed from my birth.

Well, that's just a reminisce of the past. The more important thing was the screen floating in front of me that says to roll the roulette and get yourself a skill.

I had 5 chances to earn myself 5 skills and go on with reincarnation. I was very familiar with the concept of reincarnation due to being an avid reader of many fanfics and Anime.

I was excited about my new life and started to roll the roulette for my first skill and prayed to be given a strong body, unlike my previous body.

I was shocked and excited to see such amazing skill, I was quite satisfied and was not at all worried about the other 4 spins.

I was super excited to see such amazing skills and was very much grateful to the Luck Lady.

When every wish was complete the floating screen disappeared and a black hole appeared and sucked my soul in itself. I didn't have the time to react.

My vision turned black and when I opened my eyes, I saw fire in my surroundings and I was buried in the debris of what it seems a building. I also had a huge steel rod impaled in my chest.

I was feeling a lot of pain so I took a deep breath and removed the steel rod.

I was shocked to see my surroundings when my vision became clearer.

There was fire and ashes everywhere and many destroyed metal parts and broken bricks. It looks like an explosion took place here that blew up the building.

I was so absorbed in looking around that I didn't notice the skin of my body. I noticed when I rubbed my face to remove the dust off it.

I was in a bad mood when I saw my skin, the word ugly was an understatement for what I saw.

My skin was wrinkled and had many small crated shapes all over my body. I sat down clutching my head in disappointment.

I thought, "Was this the perfect body mentioned in my wishes? Did I receive any wishes or was it just my imagination?"

As I was contemplating a voice rang in my head,

I felt a sudden and extreme amount of pain starting from my head and spreading all over my body.

I was rolling on the floor filled with ashes and debris due to the extreme amount of pain.

My eyes were overflowing with tears, my mouth was overflowing with saliva due to the pain.

The pain had clouded my mind for me to notice the changes in my body.

My cells were torn apart and new magical cells were forming, my neurons were evolving and getting bigger and increasing in numbers. My bones were turning to dust and stronger bones were created out of thin air.

The ugly skin was torn apart and new beautiful and soft skin was replacing it with an extremely fast pace.

The x-genes were being absorbed from all over my body.

An immense amount of knowledge was flowing inside my brain about technologies, species, and different cooking techniques.

The memories of my new body were merging with memories of my own.

I lost consciousness but heard a notification before it.
