A Harmonious Family

"Jonas, I'm telling you to be nice to her and not mess with Cayce,"Lena Xu said.

Jonas tapped Lena Xu on the shoulder, "It won't be awkward, don't worry, it's just a little depressing."

Lena Xu looked at Jonas, "There will be time, you will adapt."

Cayce took Jonas's small hand and said, "Jonas, you must cherish this happiness. I like you very much now and I will like you very much in the future. You must like me very much."

Jonas nodded, "Yes, I like you very much and I think we can always be together."

Cayce smiled and said, "It's okay, you do your thing."

Jonas looked at Cayce's back and realized that this was life, and although there were a lot of unspoken words, they were best friends after all, and Jonas felt like he had accepted her.

Jonas arrived at Cayce's house with an old bottle of wine and a piece of cake.

Cayce's mother arrived at J's house and opened the door.

Cayce's father was cooking in the kitchen, and it looked like the family was a man. The old man would have a better temper.

Cayce's father said hello to Jonas, then to Cayce's mother, "Get a glass of water and stop staring at Qiongyao."

Cayce's mother laughed, "Don't blame me if I turn the TV off as soon as Jonas arrives."

Jonas poured himself a glass of water and sat down to chat. Cayce's mother, dressed in a stylish dress and with her hair cut, looked menacing, but she was reserved and friendly to J.

Cayce must have given them a lot of rehearsal last night. He was well aware that Jonas was not a communicator.

Jonas smiled, "I will come often."

Cayce's mother said, "You eat first, the cold will affect your appetite."

Jonas thought Cayce's father was a good talker.

Cayce's mother, though a little tricky, was held back by Cayce's majesty. This became Jonas's easiest family to solve, and Jonas's easiest meal.

Cayce sipped her wine, then said to J, "I'm just a girl, and if she sees you, we'll admit it. She argued with us a lot just to get us to accept you. We thought you were ugly and a water queen. But I think he's nice, and most of all, he's big and I like him."

"My dad's bluffing," Cayce chimed in.

Cayce's mother agreed: "Jonas does look a lot like my husband. Even more so if he wears a pair of glasses."

Cayce's mother whispered, "Jonas is fine, it's nice to live alone, and my daughter won't be so much trouble."

Jonas laughed derisively and Cayce's father quickly interrupted, "Don't say that, Jonas will be angry."

Jonas waved his hand, "It's okay, Auntie is telling the truth, we're in a big uproar, that's why we're getting divorced. Cayce won't have any more of this."

Cayce's father said, "J, I'm glad you think so, let's have a drink."

Cayce sipped his wine, then turned to Jonas and said, "J, don't be angry about what I told you."

Jonas looked at him and said, "Go ahead."

Cayce's father said: "We have better conditions than yours. When we get married, this house will be yours. We have a house in the cool city and we can move there. Then you can invite us over for dinner every week. If you're not happy, I'll do it! If you're not eating at home, you can go to Merrill Court and I'll be the host!"

Jonas immediately said: "uncle, you are not so polite, I will cook for you later!"
