Hard Road Ahead

Yana looked over at Jonas , "In a way, you're right. I also have some older friends who have good relationships. He's a very self-aware person, and I love talking to him."

Jonas lowered his voice, "An older one, maybe an old one?"

Yana smiled nonchalantly, "What old man, only 37, I'll show you the picture."

Jonas picked up her phone and saw that she was not thirty-seven, but forty-seven.

Jonas looked nonchalant, "Not here, it seems."

"From the north." Yana nodded.

Jonas commented, "Sure enough, there are people out there."

Yana smiled, "J, are you discriminating against us?"

"No, I'm just kidding," Jonas said quickly.

"That would be nice." Yana grinned.

Jonas continued, "What does Mr. Hu do?

Yana chuckled, "Mr. Hu, Jonas , are you kidding me? He is an executive of a large company and a prominent figure in the society."

Jonas nodded, "Well, that's a good idea, does he like you, or do you like him?"

Yana smiled, "J, what are you talking about? I just like him and consider him a friend."

Jonas thought he was being too blunt, and if he kept talking like this, he would end up playing dead with her, so Jonas quickly said, "Well, let's start with friends, but you've gone too far, it's normal for the man you like to be either Dutch or Hu."

"What do you mean normal?" Yana asked doubtfully.

J: "A local, younger one who can talk to you."

Jonas thought he understood, and if she didn't answer, Jonas would laugh.

Yana thought about it and laughed, "Oh, so."

Jonas laughed derisively, "I see."

Yana looked at Jonas , "Actually, half the people here are good too."

Jonas felt like he was only half of her, but talking was better than nothing.

"Seriously, why only half?" Jonas said quickly.

"This one is a little worse than the last two, but there's always something special about him," Yana said lightly.

Jonas looked stunned, "Really?"

Yana smiled, "He is simple, he is handsome, and most importantly, he is kind and warm."

Jonas asked, "You mean me?"

"I mean my friend, what do you think?" Yana said hurriedly.

Jonas felt that he had no hope at all in Yana's mind.

Yana handed Jonas the picture on his phone, a Porsche that looked lovely. A rich man, a tasteless dandy at first sight.

"He's the one," Jonas said to Yana. "He's a good looking guy, but I think he's a liar."

Yana soothed, "He's actually quite good, but he hasn't seen the world and doesn't understand the hardships of making money."

Jonas sighed, "So you really like him."

"Like is like, but it's just a normal relationship, not like you think," Yana said casually.

"What about me?" Jonas lowered his voice.

J's voice was low, but Yana could hear it clearly, and she smiled and said, "J, you are my best friend.

Jonas looked flattered, "I'm really scared."

Yana grinned and said, "You're such a braggart."

J: "It's getting late, I'll walk you home."

"All right." Yana nodded.

Jonas dropped Yana off at home and took the bus home. Along the way, Jonas mused. Yana's last words, he realized, were clearly self-soothing.

He was no match for the Dutchman in looks or education. In terms of ability to work, in terms of progress, I am inferior to Mr. Hu. In terms of background, in terms of financial power, this rich kid could have run him over.

If none of the three could handle it, Jonas would be even more difficult. Jonas didn't know where he got the courage to go after Yana.

When Jonas returned home, he was even more troubled. It always struck him as absurd, but something like feelings could not be rationally analyzed, and the more Jonas wished for a miracle.

Jonas had the same image of Yana in his mind as he watched an East Asian action blockbuster. Jonas was subconsciously aware of his movements.

When he awoke the next day, it was afternoon.

Jonas gathered her thoughts after dinner and found that Yana's pursuers were not difficult either. It is not impossible to fight them off one by one, if the right means can be found.

Not to mention, Yana had made him a friend, and it was rare for him to remain close to her.

Wondering if he should go to Yana's or go home and figure it out, the phone rang and it was Li An.

Li An grinned, "J, I haven't seen you for so long, where the hell are you, have you hit the jackpot and don't know us?"

Jonas quipped, "Yes, he won hundreds of millions of dollars and now he's going abroad to the United States."

Li An smiled and asked, "How are you and Chancee?"

Jonas casually replied, "so-so."

Li An looked questioningly at Duan Ling, "What's going on?"

Jonas sighed, "It's complicated."

Li An thought for a moment and said, "J, let's go for a walk, my friends and I are going out.

"I'm too old to play with you," Jonas said flatly.

Li An said nonchalantly, "It's okay, just come, it's my buddy anyway, it's going to be okay."

Jonas reluctantly accepted Li An's invitation.

When I opened the microletter, I saw that Yana was studying to cook at home. Jonas was full of praise for her cooking skills and said to herself, "If only I had a daughter-in-law."

By the time they got to KTV, the Li An trio were already waiting inside. He remembered seeing one, a white-collar worker at a foreign company, and one in the nineties with glasses.
