Misfortunes of the Southern Palace

"Cut the crap," Natalie said lightly, "we'll have tea and you can talk when you're done with the cake."

"No problem." Jonas nodded.

The two chatted for a while longer, then Natalie's phone rang, she made a call, then said to Jonas, "Jonas, I have something else to do, I'll ask you out for tea another day."

"No problem." Jonas replied faintly.

Happy days always pass quickly. Tang Yan and Tang Yan live together. Jonas helped her arrange a study in the East. Jonas also gave her some pocket money.

The night before they left, Jonas prepared a roast duck at a restaurant on West Road.

This time, Tang Yan's parents were very sensible and didn't bring all the relatives, just three people, and a few lunchboxes.

Tang Yan's father gave Jonas a thumbs-up. "Jonas, I told you you were a promising person. Tang Yan was wasting her time with those little water Kunzi. If I don't spend much time with you, I will go to Dongyang. If I stay here for a few years, I will go back to America."

Jonas told her, "There aren't many advantages to studying in America either, I think it makes more sense to study in the East."

"Yeah, that's what I thought," Donovan's father said. . . . . . . "

Jonas took a few sips and hurried to the bathroom. He wasn't drunk, he just wanted to go to the bathroom.

Jonas washed his face in a cold shower, then clicked on his social account to see the new developments in Natalie. By the looks of it, Natalie was here to help her work.

Jonas inexplicably dialed Natalie's number.

On the other end of the line, Natalie was silent for a moment and asked, "J?"

"well." Jonas nodded.

Natalie was confused, "What do you need me for?" . . . . . . "

Jonas asked nonchalantly, "What can I do for you?"

Natalie laughed nonchalantly, "Well, welcome to the call."

Jonas looked blank, "I see you've had a busy time, did your father ask you to take over?"

Natalie quickly explained, "It's not that, it's just that the company has a lot on its plate and is having some trouble, so I came over to help."

Jonas looked worried, "You need to get some rest too, this late."

"Why are you so worried about me, are you trying to seduce me?" said Natalie smugly.

Jonas looked contemptuous, "No, we all know the truth, how can there be feelings?"

Natalie smiled, "J, you are very clever.

"Isn't it." Jonas asked doubtfully.

Just then, a voice came from beside Natalie.

"J, I'll go now and I'll be in touch next time." Natalie said quickly.

Jonas hung up the phone and sat back down at the table. Tang Yan's father said with a serious look on his face, "Tang Yan, Jonas is so kind to you, you must treat him well and not cross the river."

Tangyan said, unashamedly, "Daddy, you're wrong, I'm not that kind of person."

Tangyan's mother echoed, "Yes, my daughter's temper, I don't know, she's not the kind of person to let the wind take her."

"I believe Tang Yan," Jonas said firmly.

Tang Yan leaned his head into J's arms, "Jonas brother loves me the most."

Jonas arrived at the airport in the early hours of the morning with Tang Yan and her parents, despite their close relationship.

Jonas, in the process of waiting, Tang Yan ordered: "there, must be in accordance with local laws and regulations, no nonsense, not greedy for profit, understand?" . . . . . . "

Tang touched Jonas's face, "I see, I've told you several times."

Jonas casually replied, "It's okay, if you need anything, you can call him.

"Yes, thank you," Tangyan said, unamused.

Jonas held her in his arms, uncomfortable, watching her as she left, but her eyes were elsewhere.

Jonas drove home with Tang Yan's parents. He felt his back ache and was about to take a good rest when he received a call from Natalie.

"J, are you there?" Natalie asked.

Jonas looked puzzled, "What's the hurry?"

Natalie looked at Jonas, "Jonas, what can I do for you?" . . . . . . "

Jonas asked again, "What happened?"

Natalie said anxiously, "Three words don't add up, come quickly."

Jonas sensed something was wrong and quickly reassured her, "Don't worry, I'll be there soon."

Jonas drove to the Riverview Apartments in the North Bund and saw many people. Jonas walked over and looked like someone from the court.

Natalie saw Jonas coming, immediately pulled Jonas to a nearby station, then said to Jonas: "Dad's company is in trouble, Dad has been taken, they want to confiscate my house."

Jonas looked stunned, "What's going on?"

Natalie looked speechless, "I don't know, but something illegal seems to be involved."

"There's nothing I can do," Jonas said helplessly, "this vicious path won't work."

Natalie hurried to stop her, and a bespectacled old woman said to Jonas, "You advised her that if she interfered with our work, she would be punished by the law."

Jonas felt that it was inappropriate for Natalie to leave now. He grabbed Natalie and said to her, "The big man can bend over and let them break the seal and we'll figure it out later."

Jonas stepped out of the crowd with Natalie.

"How about I take you to the hotel?" Jonas got into the car and asked Natalie.

"Don't have the money." Natalie shrugged.

Jonas looked stunned, "What, I didn't hear that."

"I have no money!" Natalie said to Jonas.

Jonas couldn't believe his eyes, "Seriously, your family was so rich back then, but now they can't afford a hotel."

"I just use a credit card, so I don't have any money in my wallet anymore," Natalie answered simply.

Jonas smiled, "Then I will take you to your friends and family."

"Don't mention all the water queens," Natalie said sourly. "When I call them, it's like avoiding the plague. You either don't answer or you just ignore me. When you borrow money from me, you're acting like a scoundrel. When it comes to it, no one can be trusted. It's pathetic."
