Another day arrives and similar to the day before, the two armies sortied as soon as the sun came out. The Essenian army's right was replenished by the reserves of the right and soldiers from the center. It was the same scenario for the Gallian army. Queen Sophia allocated soldiers to act as the right army, and for a cavalry soldier to act as if he was Prince Julien--to take command of the right.
The morning unfolded similar to the previous day, not one army dared to step forward. It was a stalemate or a forced stalemate by the queen, as she knew that even conventional head-to-head battle would end in their victory, but she wanted an overwhelming victory. One that would not give the enemy an opportunity to resort to any tactics. The enemy tactic she most feared is a siege of Magnolia, as it would drag civilians into the conflict.
Both armies stood still, letting the sun begin to set.
