Humanity was destroyed at the hands of gods. Every human died or should have died. One survived. One human who did not care for other humans and did not want revenge survived the attack. He became something known as a Harbinger. 

Harbingers are beings that are beyond normal understanding. Even the gods cannot control them. Clive Belmont, a teenager who survived the attack of the gods, set out on a journey to find peace and unravel the mystery of the System that made him a Harbinger. 

His journey would be long but as a Harbinger, he will not face many problems. He will harvest  and become stronger in order to break free from the shackles of System and control the entire System.

Spirit Harvester

I ran away. Why? I don't know. I just got a feeling while talking to them. Eden had just woken up. So I was planning on going to my home.

It would have been better to visit their workplaces where they died. But it would be too much of a hassle. Then I got this unsettling feeling.

My mind was feeling anxiety. What was that feeling?

System is saying that in a hurry. A fleet??

(Yes. The same as the first one. That duke Martin or something is on the move again. Maybe, they are coming to silence the princess.)

"I see. Then maybe I should let loose a bit. My training is still ongoing after all. By the way, can I go to space?"

(You can. The aegis can hold the barrier around you even in space. With <Spirit> you can enhance the effects. And I will throw in something as a bonus as well. Gather <Spirit> in your hands and make a ball. Throw that ball. You can use the gun for this if you can't control it. This should be as powerful as a nuclear deterrent.)

"I am amazed at that and thankful too. See you."

(I am always watching you. So no need.)

I laugh at that. System has become more human like. She is even making snappy comebacks.

I should go inside and inform them. I open the door and see that all three of them are talking. Even Eden is talking.

She is dumbfounded. I guess, no one told her about that.

"I don't know. But he is here with a fleet. Just like before when he killed everyone. Is he here to conquer this planet or to kill you?"

"He must be here to kill me. That would be more meaningful." (Fay)

"You are surprisingly calm. I thought you would panic."

"What is the point in panicking? He must be here to kill me. If I am gone, then they can take action against the king using my death as a reason." (Fay)

"He should be about 70. Why do you ask?" (Fay)

"Who is the next in line to the throne? I mean a crown prince or princess."

"The eldest son is currently the crown prince. Or was."

Fay spoke that line with sadness. Was, then he isn't anymore. Only when he is dead would change the crown prince. Meaning, he died or was killed.

"A few days after our departure. It takes a week to reach this star. So I got that news while in space." (Fay)

"Then who is that Martin supporting?"

"The fourth prince. But he isn't in line to the throne. He was almost disowned but the king showed his generosity and didn't. He was just removed from the line of succession." (Fay)

These are complicated things. So let's stop here. Fay is glum. Maybe she is missing her homeland or she is actually scared.

"Fay, Hazel, Eden, I am going to step out for a bit."

"Where are you going master?" (Hazel)

"Space. Gotta welcome our guests."

Hazel is giving me a judgmental look.

"Yeah. I learnt how to fly and aegis will protect me from space. I should go and give them a warm welcome and my thanks for the previous visit."

They came here before too. Let's give my thanks to them.

But Eden suddenly tugged at my clothes.

That's right. I will not take her to a battlefield.

"I see." She gave up. She really is a good girl. Let's take her next time when everything is calm.

"Don't do anything rash and come back in one piece." (Hazel)

However Eden doesn't say anything. I should take her with me. She is sulking.
