Everyone has accepted it!

The farce which I went along with for some reason has ended. I gut punched the guy who slashed at me suddenly. General Louis called him Apollo. Well, if he is a god, it must be related to Jupiter. That doesn't matter. I told the king my current address and I was leaving.

But I thought, I should leave through the front door. Might as well, leave like I have triumphed.

"Clive, what are you doing here?"

I was called from behind by a familiar voice. I turn around and confirm that it is indeed Fiona.

"Well, the king kinda arrested me, tied me to a cross and tried to burn me but after surviving, I put him in his place."

She sighs. Is she not surprised? I was expecting her to be surprised a bit.

"Just don't go overboard. No matter what he did, he is still the king of this kingdom and a normal human being. Go easy on him. A lot." (Fiona)

"Yeah. I felt that I should go easy. Fay said that he is 70. Is he that old?"

"Yes. But he has access to best medications and healthcare. He probably doesn't age according to his actual age. You were leaving, right?" (Fiona)

"Yeah. I was brought in through the front door. Chained and surrounded by soldiers. I thought why don't I leave through the front as well?"

"You do have the weirdest of ideas. How about we go together?" (Fiona)

"Let's. I feel like I might get lost if I wander around. This place is pointlessly big."

I express my annoyance. Humans and their pointless vanity brings nothing more than troubles. Fiona leads the way and we reach the main gate. After passing through the main gate, we arrive at the drawbridge. The soldiers are all wary of me.

But they know Fiona and they aren't doing anything. I just walk past them and cross the drawbridge.

"Are you shopping for anything?"

"No. We are set in terms of food. How much do you think you buy?" (Fiona)

"Well, I am sorry about that. I will restrain myself from buying too much in the future."

My spending habits are a bit questionable. Because, I always spent on things I liked and there weren't too many of them.

"Clive, what do you think about Fay?" (Fiona)

"What do I think? Well, I think she's someone who will not betray me at least."

"I know that she doesn't betray people she trusts and likes. But I am asking about your relationship. What do you think of Fay?" (Fiona)

"I think I get it. You are worried about your daughter being deceived and used by a weird man, aren't you? Don't worry, I have always respected her wishes. I don't deceive anyone."

I was thinking about this for a while. Fiona accepted me a little too quickly. Here it is. The interrogation by parents part.

"I think I am beginning to understand. You are not very bright, are you?" (Fiona)

She sounds rather displeased. Did I offend her in some way?

"I won't say I am a very bright person. I mean, I was isolated from society from the age of 10. Human interactions aren't my strongest suit."

I admitted my weakness. I have a hard time getting along with normal people. Which is why Fay is kind of important to me. Hazel, Aura, Eden, Aegis, Aera, Doris, Amaryllis and Tiana are out of question.

They all were influenced by me to some degree. And they weren't even humans to begin with. Fay is the only one in the group who is a normal human and has normal values.

"It seems that you need to be told straight. I will ask you straight. What do you think of Fay, romantically?" (Fiona)

I stop in my tracks. I ponder about the question I was asked. And I think being honest is the best choice.

"The first time I met Fay, she seemed like a sheltered princess longing for an adventure. She is sharp and she did find me easily. However, the lie I told her wasn't any good. Still she believed me. And when I told her the truth a few days later, she was genuinely shocked.

I thought, she is funny. And over time, she interacted with Hazel, Aura and Eden. She taught them things that I couldn't. She became a part of my group that I consider my family. I even asked her if she wanted to continue being with us.

She answered that she has accepted us. She is willing to go with us. Romantically speaking, I can't say. She is important to me. But I can't be too clingy. This is a tough question."

Even after that long speech, I couldn't give her an answer. But Fiona smiled at me.

"You are still young. You have so many years ahead of you. Take your time with them and decide for yourself. And don't worry about the polygamy. This world practices polygamy. We are used to it." (Fiona)

The reply she gave me was unexpected. But a question came to my mind.

"Are you all happy like this? I mean, sharing a man. This polygamy benefits no one but the man himself. Aren't you angry?"

"I believe everyone has different opinions and values and tastes. I don't mind as long as he loves me. But my luck wasn't that good. Even so, I have a daughter. That made things easier for me. So, I don't mind you marrying Hazel, Aura and Fay." (Fiona)

"Marriage will have wait for a while. After all, I have a goal. To achieve peace. And to do that, I need to make myself known to the higher level. After that, I will settle down."

"I see. When I think about it, you are a bit mysterious. I feel like I am attracted to you." (Fiona)

"Don't say such funny things. Fay might murder me. I can't put my hands on my future wife's mother."

"You are a harbinger. But what even is a harbinger?" (Fiona)

"We are rulers of natural concepts. I rule over death. Maybe that's why you are attracted to me. You are a spirit, right?"

"Yes. I am surprised you knew." (Fiona)

"When I appraised Fay once, it said half human half spirit. So I thought maybe you were the spirit. As a spirit, you are drawn towards nature. That must be it."

I presented my conjecture and Fiona was cool with it. And we had already home. Time went by fast when we were talking. She opened the door.

"We are back."

I said. I see everyone in the drawing room. They are sitting on the sofas.

"Master, what happened after that?" (Hazel)

"Well, a lot. I'll talk about it after lunch. Fiona, I am starving."

"Just wait a bit. Lunch is almost ready. I need to prepare a few things and we are done." (Fiona)

She said and went to the kitchen after putting on her apron.

"Clive, you sure are getting along well with my mom." (Fay)

"Well, we had a little chat while coming here. She gave me some good advice."

"Is that all? You didn't seduce my mother, did you?" (Fay)

"Do you think I can seduce anyone?"

At that, all of them sighed. What? Why are you all looking so tired? I don't understand why. But I am thinking of taking what Fiona said to heart. Maybe I should try to improve my relationships with them. This'll be troublesome and fun.
