Kuan's Pov.

I was rounding up to go home from the office when my phone rang and an unknown number was calling. I didn't pick up the first time, the person called again And I picked up only to hear Nicole's shaky voice.

"We are on our way to the hospital". Before I could ask what happened she cut me off.

"Yibo fell" he sniffed and cried more.

Take him to Beijing family hospital. I'll meet you there and cut the call!

"I dropped everything I was doing and rushed to the hospital "

I saw my brother lifeless, soaked in his own blood and my heart trembled. I almost fell.

But I ran to him and the doctor said he needed immediate surgery, he broke a hand, head injury, fractured hip bone, and his ankle was twisted.

"I dropped to the ground and cried my eyes out"

I immediately turned to Nicole and her dance partner, grabbed her hands and asked her to explain everything that happened to me without leaving anything out,

I was dancing with Jack when a call came in but I didn't pick up and a text followed immediately so I decided to check who it was and I saw Yibo's text, pointing her phone at me to see.

" I have a surprise for you. I'll wait at the rooftop and we can meditate for a while".

"My hand dropped, and I felt like hitting something."

When we finished practicing, I went to the rooftop but Yibo was not there. I saw a wrapped gift and I thought maybe he waited and got tired so he left.

  "I called him but it wasn't reachable" and that was when I got a call from Jack that Yibo was on the floor, I rushed down, Jack drove us in his car and that was when I called you. She was sobbing with a runny nose.

I was lost in my thoughts, Yibo but I told you to be careful about that place you meditate, omg my baby brother "oh lord please let him live '' I can't imagine my life without him.

Jack's voice made me flinch when he said he was going, I thanked him.

"Nicole let me drop you at home." He said.

Thanks, Jack, but I will stay with Yibo. She hugged him and he left.

We waited for the whole night to hear from the doctors, nurses were running helter-skelter, I and Nicole cried all night, and I couldn't bring myself to tell mum.

Finally, after 18 hours of surgery, the doctor came out and we rushed to him.

"How is he, is he ok, will he be fine, will please tell me he is fine"? I asked.

"We have done our best, he is in a coma now, let's wait for him to wake up."

"Can we see him now, please," Nicole said while sniffing.

My heart broke when I saw my brother laying there with machines attached to his nose and chest, swollen face, and colored skin. I sobbed uncontrollably, and Nicole kept petting my back.

Finally, I summoned the courage to tell our mum and she rushed to the hospital.

Mom opened the door to Yibo's ward and breezed it, she slapped me.

"Don't you ever keep something like this away from me again." she said.

I'm sorry mother. I mumbled as I rubbed my sting face.

Don't you have a concert tomorrow? She turned to Nicole.

Yes, ma'am. She mumbled.

Go home and rest and prepare for your concert, come and see him when you're done. She hissed.

But Mrs. Wang,  I can't leave him like this I can't.

"He is my son and I know he'll be fine, you should go," mom said irritably.

She hugged Yibo and left.

Mom was deep in thought. This does not look like an accident, what could have happened to my son? I'll find out.

It's been a week since we brought Yibo to the hospital, Nicole comes here every day and sometimes she sleeps here. Even when I tell her to go, she won't, she's beginning to have eye bags and it's becoming irritating.

Nicole, go home and rest. I don't want to see you here for the next 2 weeks. You need to take care of yourself before you can take care of my son. Mom said sternly.

But, mom cut her off before she could complete her sentence.

"Please go, you are beginning to irritate me. His dad will soon be here." We will take care of him with Kuan.

Ahhhh, thank God, the hospital smell was beginning to irritate me, I am such a good actress, sure I am not in the wrong line of business, Nicole thought. I should cry a little more to irritate Carmen Lee, she seems smart.

Yibo my love please wake up soon, I can't wait to hear your voice. I have a lot to tell you all about the concert you helped prepare me for. Nicole said while sobbing and sniffing.

Okay, Mrs. Wang, I'll head home now but I'll call you every day, and please take care of yourself. She smiled and left.

It's been 3 months since Yibo fell from that unfortunate place. Carmen Lee, Kuan, Mr. Wang, and Nicole take turns in taking care of Yibo day in and day out. The family believes she had nothing to do with it except for Carmen Lee.

Carmen Lee's Pov.

I was on my way to the hospital when my phone rang, I picked up the call

Oh, Lulu my darling, how are you?

I am fine, mother, are you free today? I'd like to see you regarding Yibo's health. She said,

"I will be in the hospital you can drop by when you close from work," I said.

Okay, Mrs. Wang, please take care of yourself. She giggled.

You to my darling and I ended the call.

I went to see my husband at the office and took food to him, that man does not eat. I sat there and made sure he ate before I left for the hospital.

When I entered Yibo's room, I met Lulu with Kuan. Oh, Lulu, you're here already. She jumped up and hugged me so tight.

"How are you holding up Mrs. Wang?

"Strong as always waiting for my boy to wake up.'' She gently removed her hands and walked toward Yibo and rubbed his forehead. She took a deep breath before turning to face us.

Mrs. Wang, I know you might not believe me or think that I am still young but if you don't mind. There's a doctor in our hospital. His name is Xiao Zhan, he is a pediatrician and he is also a "Dream Healer", Lu said.

What do you mean a dream healer?. I asked anxiously

Mrs. Wang, do remember when my cousin

had an accident 2 years ago? Someone introduced him to my aunt, and funny enough we work in the same hospital I never knew, but after a few weeks, my cousin got better.

"Kuan, please collect his details from her and do a background check on him before I bring  him anywhere close to my son."

It's been 48 hours since Lulu came to tell me about the "dream healer." I just hope she is right. I was deep in thought when the door swung open.

Mom, good afternoon, Kuan greeted as he entered. I just finished running a background check on Xiao Zhan, he is indeed a dream healer and a renowned pediatrician, I got testimony from a lot of people. He said before sitting beside me.

But how does he treat people in their dreams? I asked immediately

"It's some kind of superpower he inherited from his mum. He will come and see the patient, hold hands, or have an object that belonged to them for easy access to their dream and when he sleeps he will connect with them in his dream and help them heal faster than anything I have ever seen mum. We should try to give him a chance, please. Yibo has been in this bed for 3 months.

Okay I'll ask my driver to pick him up and bring him here immediately.

Someone knocked and Nicole entered the ward when Kuan answered.

Good afternoon Mrs. Wang, good afternoon Kuan ge. She greeted us and went straight to Yibo. I dreamt that you woke up. I was so excited, please wake up my love. We are waiting for you. She smiled and rubbed his forehead.
