-[Kaito]-
He had Kakashi to thank for the look of shock on Jiraiya's face. Being a gamer gave him an edge, being a gamer who knew the [Shadow Clone Jutsu] was too unfair.
*PAH!*
The rubber ball in his hand burst in front of Jiraiya's wide eyes. The man gave him another ball only for it to meet the same fate at the same speed as the previous one.
*PAH!*
The ball burst in the exact way Jiraiya had demonstrated the previous day. "B-but how?" The white haired man asked in shock.
It didn't take him time to get the shadow clone jutsu down and before long, he was spamming it around. Though Kakashi had warned him of the risk, he was also aware of it.
A portion of his clones had worked on popping the ball while the other portion were simply traveling between his markers using [Flying Thunder God].

He was somewhat satisfied with the amount of progress he made for one night. He had eventually gone back to Naruto's apartment which was finally clean.
It wasn't spotless but it was manageable.
Seeing the suspicious look on Jiraiya's face, he held back a chuckle as the man frowned. "It wasn't too difficult to figure out." Kaito said.
Jiraiya pulled out a balloon, holding it in one palm as his palms faced upwards. "The final step is to combine both of them together. You need to repeat the previous steps…without popping the balloon!"
The palm holding the balloon showed no reaction but his empty hand was no longer empty as a blue ball of chakra spun over it. "The Rasengan, A rank jutsu and creation of the fourth Hokage himself."
"This step is more difficult than the previous two. If the balloon so much as moves, even a bit, it means that you haven't learnt the jutsu. Got that?"
Kaito smirked casually. "I got it. See ya." He turned to walk away, getting a weird look from Jiraiya.
"Where are you going?" The man asked.
"To find some food. I'm starving." Kaito admitted. Finally getting a taste of good food after what felt like months left him wanting more.
"And how are you going to pay?" Jiraiya asked with a deadpan.
"I'll get Naruto to pay, though, that might mean that I'll be forced to take ramen…" he muttered the last part unsurely but it was still heard, causing Jiraya to let out a bellowing laugh.
"What's so funny you perverted hermit?" He questioned.
"Hey it's SUPER perverted hermit! Get it right!" The white haired man corrected.
Kaito stared the man straight in the eye. "How am I the adult in this conversation?" He muttered.
Jiraiya ignored his words, gesturing for him to follow him. "Tsunade has sorted out your residential situation. It's not far from Naruto's but I don't think distance will be a problem for you."
"That was fast."
"Of course it was. Tsunade's the Hokage." Jiraiya said proudly.
He thought it would take a lot more time before it would get sorted out but he was happy it didn't. He didn't have anything against Naruto but he didn't think he would be able to preserve his sanity for long if he continued staying with him.
"You don't have any source of income so you'll be given a monthly stipend until you find something to do." Jiraiya explained.
"I'm good with seals." Kaito admitted.
Though the situation where he acquired the skill wasn't the best, he wouldn't deny his interest in the workings of fuinjutsu. Whether it was due to being an Uzumaki or genuine interest and curiosity, he would at least follow it through.
"Is that so? Why don't you tell me more over breakfast? My treat." Jiraiya offered.
Kaito leveled a look at him. "Please tell me you're not taking me to get ramen for breakfast."
-[Tsunade]-
Sitting in her office, she couldn't help the frown that showed on her face. Though she was happy that Kaito had been found, it also brought her a lot of worries.
According to Jiraiya, Kaito was immensely talented…too talented. That was evidenced by the fact that he was picking up what Jiraiya was teaching him in less than half the time it took Jiraiya himself or any of his students.
She fondly remembered the bet she made to Naruto years ago about him learning the Rasengan.
Then came his master of the flying thunder god jutsu that Minato was famed for. Even Kakashi who was the man's student wasn't able to learn it, the successful people to learn it being the Hokage's guards who needed three people to perform it.
Ibiki and Inoichi had done their job and gotten a lot from Danzo. Despite the one eyed man's bravado, even he didn't expect this and was unprepared.
Other than more evidence of Kaito's talent, they had found a lot of other things. Truly infuriating and shocking things, one of them being his and Orochimaru's defilement of her grandfather's body to cultivate his cells.
That was only followed by Danzo's role in the Uchiha massacre and the truth about Itachi along with many other horrible deeds that the man would claim were 'for the good of Konoha'.
Shisui's eye had been removed from the man's skull in a rather painful manner, he didn't deserve the luxury of a painless treatment.
With chakra suppressing seals, restrictions and numerous ANBU around, the man could do nothing as his sharingan embedded arm was amputated.
The thing was disgusting to look at, from both a moral and medical standpoint.
Sai had also been interrogated and his results were much less horrifying. He was another victim of Danzo's evil. She was skeptical about what to do with him but ultimately decided to leave him in team 7.
The deciding factor was the outcome of the retrieval mission where he disobeyed his orders from Danzo. She'd have to tell Yamato to keep an eye on him.
"Shizune." She called her assistant. Have someone get Naruto and Kaito here."
-[Kaito]-
Thankfully, he had an actual breakfast rather than ramen.
"Here we are." Jiraiya said as he led Kaito into an apartment not dissimilar in size to Naruto's own.
"This place isn't too bad." He didn't expect anything luxurious so he was quite content.
Jiraiya fished an envelope out of his pocket, handing it to him. "And this is this month's stipend."
Kaito paused for a moment. "Did you use part of this to pay for the food?" He asked cautiously.
Jiraiya gave him a dry look. "What do you take me for?"
He recalled Jiraiya being a cheapskate who spent Naruto's money instead of his own so he wouldn't be too surprised.
"I'll leave you to settle down for now. If there's anything you need, you unfortunately know how to find me." Jiraiya said as he turned to leave.
"Actually, there are a few things I need." Kaito said, causing the man to pause, turning back to him.
"Hmm? What's that?"
"I want to continue studying seals so I need some sealing equipment to work with. I don't know where to get it and I'd rather not be cheated out of the little money that I have to spend." Kaito admitted.
Jiraiya had a thoughtful look on his face before nodding. "That can be arranged. What's the other thing?"
Kaito smirked. "A book on Jutsu creation."
