Chapter-2<The Mysterious Letter-2>

When James got to the train station, he got off the wagon and paid the wagon owner. Then he hired a luggage boy as he had a lot of luggage with him. He had two trolleys that were filled with books and all the different types of apparatus that he would be using in school for different classes. And then he had one trunk which was full of his clothes.

Carrying three big trunks is a very tedious task. So everyone from his school hires one or two luggage boys to help them carry their luggage from one point to another…

As James got inside the train station he saw that like usual many mages and warriors were roaming around the station. Usually one would not find this many awakened ones on a railway station. But today is a special day. Because today is the day when the train for Emerald Garden would be leaving for the school.

Emerald Garden is one of the most prestigious schools of the whole Faction. It is founded when the great 6 families came together and found the Faction. That school is old as the country itself. The Emerald Garden is so prestigious that many people from other countries migrate to the Faction just so that they could attend the school.

James is a very good student who is well versed in the use of magical combat. His theoretical knowledge was on par with a 5th-year student, which is an achievement in itself. But he is not well known in the school because of his Rank. His low potential and low progress in increasing his Rank make him look like a monkey with a golden spoon in his hands. He may have a lot of knowledge about magic but there is no way that he could possibly use it…

Platform no.7 was the last platform of the railway station. And that platform was reserved for the Emerald Express. This train travels all around the country to pick up students and it is considered one of the best trains ever made in the Faction.

As James got here early he found an empty cabin at the start. So he paid the luggage boy and sat down by the window. James knew that the train would not leave the station for at least 20 min or so. James wanted to go out and try to find some snacks for his journey. But then he decided against it and nodded off while leaning towards the window…

When James woke up, he saw that train was already on the move towards the Emerald Garden. He saw that outside the window there were various hills and mountains. Seeing this he realized that maybe a lot of time had passed since they had left the train station. He looked by the side and saw that a man was sitting on the couch opposite to where he was sitting.

The man on the couch was reading an advanced-level rune book. Seeing this he thought that maybe this man was a 6th or 7th-year student. James could not see that man's face as he was hidden behind the book but based on the physique alone he could tell that this man was one of the upperclassmen.

Feeling the gaze from James, the man put his book aside and looked at James. It was then James saw the man's face. And he instantly recognized the man…

This man's name was Solaris. He was a 7th-year student. Although he is not that famous man, James knows him as Solaris is one of the regular students in the library like him…

Solaris is a skinny man with a little bushy beard. He had black color hair with light brown eyes. From what James had seen and heard about him, he is quite a nerd and likes spending time at the library just like him.

"Oh hello there, I hope I am not intruding or anything," Solaris said with a smile.

"Of course not sir, if you want I can leave the coach," James said.

It was a custom of the Emerald Garden that seniority was to be always respected. It is because of this that one always has to refer to the senior students with 'sir' or 'mam'. Also, the 7th-year students were technically the rulers of the school. That is why James offered to leave the coach for Solaris as he didn't want to tangle himself with some trouble with a 7th-year student.

"It's fine. And call me Solaris. I don't deserve being called 'sir'." Solaris said.

"Of course sir," James said.

"So what is your name boy?" Solaris asked.

"Me? My name is James." James said.

"James…" Solaris stretched his name as he wanted to know the other person's surname.

"Tyrion. James Tyrion." James said.

"Oh… a Tyrion, eh? It must be hard for you to have that heavy surname." Solaris said.

"Yeah, it is," James said while thinking that Solaris was mocking him…

And soon James and Solaris started conversing with each other. James soon realized that Solaris was not mocking him or anything. He is the person who speaks the first thing that comes to his mind. And as they conversed further they started to realize that both of them had a lot in common…

Solaris is an orphan who got awakened by chance. He didn't have any family members or any sponsors to support him. But then one day a professor from school took notice of him and adopted him. His Rank is mediocre like James for his age group. Thus they had a lot in common…

Just like James, Solaris also has a very low potential. That is why despite being in the seventh and the last year of his school life, Solaris was only a Rank-8 mage. He is looked down upon because his skills don't match his rank. But still, he is struggling somehow.

As they were talking, both of them started conversing about magic and their interests. James then eventually offered Solaris some of the honey treats that his mother made, which Solaris loved after eating the first one. While conversing, Solaris eventually asked James…

"So do you think that you will be invited to any Frat house?" Solaris asked.

"Sadly no… I thought that I would be able to join one but based on my skills I don't think it would be possible to join a frat house." James said.

"That's sad. If it wasn't for this damn body of mine for having such a low potential or another wise I would have also joined Frat House." Solaris said…

Frat houses were clubs of the Emerald Garden. These clubs unlike the normal clubs held very significant importance. These clubs were reserved for the people that were the best in the field. And not just anyone can join in. Only very specific people are invited inside these clubs.

It is rumored that the people of Frat Houses start scouting the future club candidates as soon as first-year students attend their school orientation. Then they watch a candidate's performance and behavior closely in their first year and second year. And then finally in the third year, the invitations to these clubs are given out.

Getting into these clubs means getting a very high social status in the awakened one's community. Every great warrior or mage once belong to a Frat House. Thus it is the dream of students to join a Frat House. And it is the dream of every awakened one to get inside one of these clubs. But sadly not everyone could get in…

"I heard that from your year the genius named Jarad Fullbody will be the main person of focus for every club. I heard some talks from my classmen that the people from clubs were going out of their way to get that boy in their club." Solaris said.

"Yeah…" James said.

"So have you met the guy? That Jarad?" Solaris asked.

"Yes, in a way…" James said awkwardly.

"You seem distressed as soon as I started talking about that guy. Is there something between you two?" Solaris asked.

"It's nothing, he is a very good friend of mine," James said with a smile while hiding his pain behind the smile.

It was then the door of their cabin slid open and a young man walked in. That young man was wearing the uniform of the Emerald Garden and had a pin on his chest with the letter 'H' inscribed on it. That young man was wearing a black color three-piece suit and looked like a businessman. He was blond and had fair skin. The young man smiled while looking at Solaris and said…

"Pleasure to see you again Psycho. I thought from this year you would stop mooching off from the professor. But it seems I was wrong."The young man said.

"You may have become the Head Boy Charles, but I can still beat the shit out of you. Always remember that." Solaris said while glaring at him.

"Oh… I am so scared!" the young man said sarcastically. Then the boy named Charles sat beside Solaris.

"What do you want?" Solaris asked.

"Well, I am here to ask you whether you know a student named James Tyrion. He is in the third year and goes by the alias of Ragger." The young man asked.

Hearing this Solaris looked at James who was equally confused. He didn't know what he did to get the pleasure of the head boy who came seeking him himself…

"Sir I am James Tyrion," James said weakly.

"OH! Wonderful. I was having a hard time looking for you." The young man said while making himself comfortable beside Solaris.

Then the young man fetched a rectangular device from his pocket which looked like a modern phone. Then the head boy dialed some number and called someone. As soon as the other person from the other side picked up the phone, the head boy then said…

"Found suspect number 15. He is in 8th coach cabin number 15." The head boy said and then he hung up the phone.

"Charles, what do you mean by the suspect?" Solaris asked Charles.

"He is prime suspect number 15 of the Fullbody case," Charles said.

"What Fullbody case?" Solaris asked.

"You don't know? Ah, well what can you expect from eccentric Solaris. You know sometimes it very essential to see the world beyond all the books that you keep reading." Charles said.

"I don't understand sir, what is the Fullbody case?" This James asked.

James was not having a good feeling since the head boy of the school had said that he was a prime suspect. He had no idea what he was talking about…

"You don't know either? For the love of GOD…" Charles said dramatically.

"Charles, what is the case?" Solaris asked him.

"James right? You are from the third year, so you must have heard the name Jarad Fullbody. Right?" Charles asked James.

"Yes…" James said unsure what was happening.

"Well that boy, he was attacked. He was so brutally beaten up by the assaulter to the extent that when the people found him he was close to his death door. Still, with all the medical help and resources that the Fullbody House could muster, he is in such bad shape that he could die at any moment. He is in a very critical condition right now." Charles said.

"Wait, isn't Jarad Fullbody the genius who is at Rank-7 currently?" Solaris asked.

"Yes. That is exactly the point. He is Rank-7. Coupled with the fact his father was chosen as a Legovich this summer, he was surrounded by bodyguards who were Rank-11 or above. This means that Fullbody house is pissed. They are rounding up everyone that could have the grudge against him so that they could weed out the suspect." Charles said.

"Then how come he is a suspect. He is just a Rank-2 warrior. He may be a Tyrion but he is a nobody. No offense James." Solaris said.

"None was taken," James said as he was still having a hard time digesting that someone attacked Jarad.

"Well, they are not leaving any stones unturned. Plus this boy is Tyrion. He may not be that influential but still, he belongs to the enemy house. And from what I have heard, that Jarad guy loved to bully him. So we have a motive as well." Charles said.

"Where did this attack happen?" Solaris asked.

"You know Solaris the thing that I loved about you is that you always ask the right question. That is the most baffling part about this whole situation. The Fullbody family isn't telling anyone about that specific part. They are not disclosing the information about where the attack took place." Charles said.

"They are not, but why? Unless…" Solaris was speaking but he stopped midway.

"Unless what?" James asked as he was confused.

"You are as dumb as they come. Tell me boy if you were in the shoes of the Fullbody house. And you were hiding the place of the assault, what would be your motive behind it?" Charles asked.

"I would only hide this fact because I would be ashamed about the place the assault took place," James said.

"Exactly," Charles said.

"So what? Was he assaulted in a brothel or something like that?" James asked.

"No no… The young master of big families like the Fullbody family does not need to go to the brothel. They could have all the women they need in their private house. The attack didn't take place in any public place. If it were to happen in a public place the news would have traveled faster." Solaris said.

"Then where did the attack take place?" James asked.

"The one place where they didn't expect the attack to take place. The Fullbody complex." Charles said with a big smile.
