When the approach of the evening sky in stately fashion, with all grace of breeze welcoming a lull into Oxshade. A time of reward after the daylight efforts are made, when it feels good to enjoy the simple pleasures and ready oneself for the world of dreams by letting the gentle energy of nature wash in, and become absorbed in the music of crickets.
Just like the buzzing bees hurrying to collect their nectar from the early bloomed flowers in the morning sunshine all the maids were busy lightening up the chandeliers and the torches which are present in every nook and corner. A very usual routine for them. Chefs were busy preparing dinner and trying their best to enlighten their masters while they had the teeny tiny hope that they might have a chance to increase their daily wages or might get a chance to be promoted from their current positions in the back of their minds. This was their thought.
While the workers were busy Lily was finding it hard in convincing Vilian to not leave the house once again for she might get caught. But, it was all a waste, for Vilian was all stubborn with her decision.
"Lily, you need not worry. I'll be back before the clock strikes 10." Said Vilian.
"But Milady, what if the master or his mistress asks for your presence or even feels suspicious of your absence at the dining hall?" Questioned out her thoughts Lily.
"Oh, that's such a silly issue, Lily. It's not as if I've never skipped a meal or had it in my room. They are known for my light eating diet. Cheer up girl, just chill. Your nervousness will give away my plan for tonight's event."
"Don't worry Mi'lady. Nothing will happen. Please be safe." Said Lily with a concerned expression. Once again sneaking out of the window pane with her bike key Vilian left the place.
Awakening her Beasty, she went to the second lane of Oxshade which was not far from the first lane where Vilian lives. Stopping Infront of the backyard walls of Mia's house, she waited for her friend. It was a stone brick-designed wall and was a very tall one, that one cannot get a glimpse of what was on the other side of the wall.
Vilian sent a text message after a while but the fool on the other side was busy concentrating on the song while trying her new steps of the dance.
Pulling the last string of patience, Vilian took a call to Mia. Luckily Mia saw the incoming call as the phone flashed on because of the phone call.
"Hey! Vili, what's up yoh?!"
"Sky's up," She said sarcastically. "What's up you say? Girl, I've been waiting for you out here for the past thirty minutes, sending text messages and waiting out here for you. Now turn down the music volume and get the hell out of your room or you'll have to go alone tonight."
"Ohh noo! I almost forgot about our night out today. I'll be there in five minutes love. Wait for me..."
"Jeez, Girl" saying that Vilian end the phone call and waited for Mia to show up herself. Five minutes turned out to be ten minutes and there comes Mia with a convincing smile probably to convince Vilian.
"I just can't believe you forgot your own words."
"Yeah right, I just carried away with the song and the new dance steps. Yuh know... Alright, start up your bike. Looks like someone's approaching this way." She whispered into Vilian's ears the latter part.
"Quick!" She screamed out of panic.
"We don't want us to get caught before we even start up with it"
"Yeah, yeah" Vilian gave her an answer nonchalantly.
Giving the spare helmet to Mia and Vilian started the beast and rode the bike towards Belgrasp street. There they saw the streets were lit with more decoration than usual.
That's when Mia said, "Oh look, the street looks completely different and awesome after decorating it with those beautiful fairy lights, isn't it?"
"Yes, it is. Now let me focus on riding, or we'll both surely- Woah! Oh my gosh" before Vilian could finish what she thought to say, a black car came out of no where which made Vilian startled and stop the bike abruptly. It actually didn't come out of nowhere. It was she who wasn't focusing on the road but on what her friend Mia was saying.
"You damn car... From where the hell did you even come "
And just like it came out of nowhere it just disappeared before she could even spill out her cursing words when she was checking for any damages to her bike caused by the sudden incident.
"Uhh... Look at that stupid brainless guy. Just went away without an apology?" Said angrily while gritting her teeth.
"Ahem..." Cleared her throat, Mia. "I think it is we who made the mistake of admiring all the street lights and you lost your focus on the road. So...mm...mm...mm" she said it letting the latter complete by Vilian herself.
"Excuse me..., It was you who distracted me..."
"Okay, Okay... I'm sorry. Now shall we proceed on what we were about to do, Milady?"
Without giving a word Vilian rode the bike towards the restaurant and parked the bike in the parking lot. Coming to stand in front of the restaurant, the board read "MOONDALE" which was a night restaurant only opened during the night hours.
Both of the girls entered the restaurant which was designed in a bit ancient era type. It was lit up not with bulbs, but with several candles. There were small chandeliers with several candles above every table present. The floor was given a wooden texture. When they were about to move forward towards their booked table, Vilian accidentally bumped into someone harder again.
Raising her forehead while touching it and wincing she looked up, but gradually took a few steps back. "You again?" Her voice was a bit high attracting few of the people around her. Realizing what she had done, she turned toward them and apologize to them. Then she turned towards the person in front of her.
