Finally spending some time going through all the dresses Marcus found out a beautiful and simple baby blue A-line gown.
"This... I guess this will look more suitable to you than the earlier one that I picked up, Mi'lady."
"If you say so... I'm ok with it for I'm not good at choosing gowns. I gotta hurry up. Lily might eat my head. Anyways... thank you so much Marcus. Thank you so much..."
Marcus nodded his head and left the room giving the girl her personal space. Vilian dressed up as quick as possible making up her hair, she ran down the stairs towards the drawing room and entered. As expected the other lady was also waiting for her along with lady Ellen.
Both the ladies looked towards the girl who entered the room in a silence.
"Good afternoon, Lady Ellen. Good afternoon Ms..."
"This here is Ms. Andrea. She has come with me to give a hand in helping me out with your dress and the beauty accessories. Demus requested us to do everything before the clock strikes five. We've got two hours left so it's better if we start up with it now without further delaying it." spoked up lady Ellen not even letting the two of them greet eachother.
Vilian wouldn't have bothered to come out with what she was dressed, knowing that she'll have to get dressed into another in a few while infront of the two ladies, but the lady here was not just some ordinary designer but one of the top most designer and a close friend of her father. Keeping that in mind she didn't like being disgraced or spoil her name which will later on be blamed on her mother. That was the least she would want to happen.
The three of them went along with some other the maids who tagged with them into the main dressing room which was prepared earlier by the servants.
After what felt like an hour or a
so... of the preparation Vilian felt so suffocated with all the make-overs, accessories and specially the tightened corset that she was wearing. Vilian had never cursed anything as she cursed the dress.
Everything was set. Lily was bewildered by the final outcome.
"As expected she turned out to be more like an angel descended from the heaven." said Lily gleefully clapping her hands like an excited child.
"Oh my you really do look Angelic dear. if I ever had a son, by now you would be my daughter-in-law. How lucky Demus is." Lady Andrea couldn't help but praise for so long.
"Not everyone knows to feel lucky and cherish her like a flower." muttered Lily angrily rolling her eyes.Vilian smacked her hand to keep her quiet.
"Sorry, but did you say something?" asked lady Andrea.
"Uhhh... no no I was admiring and praising Ms.Vilian. He..he.." said Lily bowing her head without giving a glance towards any of their eyes.
"Andrea, it is time for us to leave right now. Our work here is done." said Lady Ellen emotionlessly and started walking away. Andrea gave a glance at her and shook her head in disappointment.
"So... I guess I've gotta leave. It was nice meeting you today. I'm sure you'll capture everyone's attention there in the party with that beauty of yours. All the best dear." said Andrea, giving a wink at Vilian she hugged her. Vilian turned stiff, for she didn't expect the lady to approach in such a easy going manner.
"Mi'lady, Mr. Marcus said that there's a chauffeur waiting for you out of the mansion and also he said you to come once you've got readied for the party."
"Lily why are you still dressed up like this? Go change into a good cloth. If you can't find a proper one, there's a lot in my closet. Choose whatever you'd love to get dressed in. What are you waiting for? Hurry up."
"Uhh... Mi'lady...? I guess Mr. Marcus will be the one to accompany you to the party. I'm not allowed to join the party with you today."
"What do you mean you are not allowed? You are my hand in maid and supposed to be with me."
"I guess it was what Master Demus said" said Lily sadly, for she always loved to attend parties tagging along with Vilian in the name of her maid.
"Don't worry Lily. I'll take you to the tea party tomorrow." said Vilian tapping Lily's head like an elder sister.
"See you soon Lily."
"Please do take care yourself Mi'lady" said Lily concerned and worriedly. Nodding her head Vilian hugged Lily and waved her goodbye.
Leaning on the car was Marcus, occasionally glancing at the door and then at his wrist watch waiting for Vilian to come. She was taking more time than he expected. Slowly the main door opened and the long wait came to an end for there she came descending down the stairs elegantly holding onto her gown walking towards the car's direction with a pleasant smile tugging on her full plump lips. Marcus was totally awestruck by the girl's mesmerising beauty. He felt like the time frozen and someone fed him a jar of honey into his mouth for he saw the girl look so sweet from afar. Her hair was swaying along with the faint breeze. As her golden locks were left open with a wavy style, she looked more pretty; glowing on the daylight.
Marcus was totally caught up into daze that he didn't realize the girl was already Infront of him calling out his name for god knows how many times.
"...rcus..." finally giving up on calling him out Vilian shook him violently that brought him back to realize that he was so long zoned out.
"huh? did you say something Mi'lady?" questioned Marcus confusingly not knowing what actually happened. He was totally embarrassed of himself for gawking at her not knowing his surroundings.
"Marcus? do you think I'm really necessary for this party? I feel so nervous. I'm sure I'm gonna ruin something." said Vilian biting her lips in a worry and nervousness which distracted Marcus again.
Shaking off his head controling himself he spoke,
"Worry not Mi'lady, for I'll be there along with you." said and gave a reassuring smile which relaxed the girl a bit.
"It's getting colder. Better we get in the car, Mi'lady. We wouldn't want you to get sick do we?" asked Marcus and opened the door for her to get in.
During the car ride Marcus was busy explaining about the guests in the party who Vilian would talk on what topic and whom she'd have to communicate casually just to get a good impression about their company. Vilian was all on ears trying to understand each and everything in detail. She wished Mia was with her but to her unfortunate the party wasn't invited for Mia's family.
Finally, the ride came to an end and Vilian was very nervous just looking at the crowds and the vehicles parked out near the entrance. Everything was so in lavish. Not that Vilian was not used to it, but today it was she who would do the communications and the collaborations with everyone and not the other way round. As for the earlier parties she attended, she would always stay beside her father just like a wall flower for the sake of the company.
