The night was marked with more blood by the intense battle between the wolves and Tamara. The power she gained made her invincible, that she no longer feared the wolves. Gone are the days that she would hide in the shadows when wolves appear. With the strength of an original vampire and the nagual dark magic, Tamara is like a threat to anyone's existence as she reek of sorcery and death. However, it doesn't stop there. Tamara wanted more power, an overflowing mightiness that could match that of the moon goddess, or even beyond her.
Realizing that Ofir's powers were divided among Scott, Roman and Diana, Tamara thought her destiny to become more than she thinks she deserve is still bound to happen. However, she discovered that the marbles cannot be easily handled with her nagua hands. The marbles were protected with light magic that keeps her from touching them. And so, she have decided to deal with the vessel first for her to obtain the lythari's marbles. Besides, Scott is lost in a trance under her spell, and Roman is pinned down on the rocks with thorned vines wrapped around his arms, legs and neck. Tamara feels free to do everything she wants.
Roman struggled as he try to remove the thorned vines. And the more he moves, the tighter the vines coil and the deeper the thorns press on his skin. Choking from the tightness of the coil on his neck, he could hardly call for Diana's name. On the other hand, Scott kept on shouting and using his exhausted powers, yet, nothing happens. He could only watch in anger seeing the inevitable confrontation between Diana and Tamara.
While Tamara was reciting her incantations, she suddenly stopped as she gape at Diana. "Diana, don't look at me like that", she said.
"Like what?", Diana replied coldly.
"Oh please..", Tamara scoffed and chuckled softly. "You look at me as if there's an ounce of hope that I'd change my mind from all these brilliant plans that I have" she added.
"I know you won't. I don't expect change and kindness to monsters", Diana thought that all along, it's not the wolves who were the real monsters, not even the vampires who crave for blood, or the lythari elves who had very unearthly physique. It was creatures like Tamara who were swallowed by their own greed and selfishness, that they will kill anyone on their way to get what they want.
"Fine, I'll give you a little kindness. After all, we spent so much years together..", Tamara folded her arms across her chest. "Any last words before I own your body?", she lifted her brows at Diana waiting for an answer. "I will take good care of the tiny rascals in your womb", she said with a smirk.
"You'll never have me, not even my sons", Diana hardened her jaw as she tightened her grip on the stake.
"You are mine. I will make you my vessel, for there's no one else, but you. You haven't forgotten, right? I never accept no for an answer", Tamara said as she started her incantations. She spoke of some incomprehensible words as loud as the howls of the strong gushes of the wind.
Noticing Ofir sneakily approach Roman in the rocks, Diana slit open the cloth wrapped in her wound, as the blood drip slowly from her arm to distract Tamara so she wouldn't catch a glimpse of the lythari. Tamara did got distracted at the sight of her blood making her thirsty for that trickling vital fluid. Ofir succesfully reached Roman, as he tried to free the Alpha from the vines.
Tamara snapped out of it and said, "Don't underestimate me. My will to reach my goals is stronger than the vampire's desire for blood.". Then, she recited a few more spells that stiffened Diana's entire body dropping the stake on the ground. With a flick of a hand, an unseen force drag Diana's feet towards the nagua. Scott spoke of profanity out of his intense fury. This is not something he'd enjoy watching. Roman wriggled more, pleading to Ofir to free him quickly.
In one magic spell from Tamara's mouth, Diana spread her arms welcoming the new soul that would inhabit her mortal body. Her eyes slowly looked like a home of millions of stars as she gaze at Tamara. Diana slowly slipped her mind and the last thing she saw was the moon shining in the stellar sky.
Devastated, Scott recalled the times his father taught him that true power comes from within, as it naturally comes out when you concentrate. Every whip on his back, and paddle on his legs forced him to learn how to make his own powers out from nothing.
Scott closed his eyes. He breathe deeply and started collect the torments and pains of his heart. Picturing his helpless Luna, he turned his fears as a source of ignition to spark the powers he have lost. Then, he started to feel a slight warmth from his core. It was enough for him than nothing at all. Then, with full concentration, he was able to increase his low level power until he feels his blood boil.
When he opened his eyes, Scott knew what he havr in him. Then, he radiated his powers around breaking the sigil marks that trapped him. Radiating his powers even more, Scott grunted in so much rage until it burned Tamara. She gasped in pain as she drop Diana on the ground unconscious. "Impossible!", Tamara whispered as she widen her eyes in disbelief seeing Scott who's not only free as bird but also have regained massive power.
"I am an Alpha by blood. It is not something that diminishes or can be taken away from me" he said as he glare at Tamara. He took a glance on Diana and shifted his gaze back at the nagua. "You'll regret everything you've done", he said as he attack Tamara.
Meanwhile, Ofir have finally removed the last vine coiled on Roman's leg. And when the Alpha of the Black Creek Clan was free from being bound, he stood up and glared at Tamara. "Thanks! Now, get Diana!", he shouted as he attacked the nagua as well.
The Alphas simultaneously pounced and charged Tamara. With no remorse, nor mercy, they continuously strike her out of all their deadly intentions. Surprised with the accurate counterattacks of Roman, Tamara moved back as she study Roman. "Looks like you have inherited your mother's powers", she said.
"I can hear your sick thoughts… loud and clear", Roman said as he block all Tamara's movements while she plan to make a bigger sigil mark to trap the Alpha wolves. Failing with her plan to use dark magic, Tamara groaned in wrath as she mercilessly set to kill the Alphas with her claws.
In the intervening period of time, Ofir held Diana in his arms as he sniffle in sorrow. "Luna.. your life is slipping away. Why didn't you tell you're poisoned?", he asked
"Don't..don't worry about that", Diana stammered. "Grab the stake, give it to Scott to stab Tamara with that.", Diana thought that stabbing Tamara with the hawthorn wood stake, they would have a control
over the vampire in her. Then it would easy for them to kill the nagua.
"I can't leave you here", Ofir worriedly said
"You have to", Diana said with a smile. "Go! I'll be alright here", she said.
Ofir grabbed the stake and absorbed the marble secured on its handle. He swallowed a lump in his throat as he watch the swift assault of the wolves against Tamara. Instead of tossing the stake to Scott, he held it up, and thought of his family who all died in the fire because of Tamara. "For the lythari elves", he said as he teleported near Tamara and stabbed her through her chest. However, Tamara sliced his torso with her hand right after he stabbed her. Tamara fell on the rocks as she breathe rapidly, with the stake stuck on her chest.
Just in time, Scott caught Ofir who was fatally wounded. "Did I got her?" Ofir weakly asked. Scott smiled as he press on Ofir's wound. "Yea, you were awesome". Then, Scott took the healing marble from his skin and placed it on Ofir's chest, hoping it would heal him fast. Diana ran weakly to Ofir after seeing what happened.
Roman walked his way to Tamara, as he watch her lay down like a log on the rocks. "Any last words?", he asked.
Tamara scoffed and laughed evilly. "It doesn't end here, wolf. I'll make sure all of you will lose everything.", she said. "luna vocat ad Lycan", Tamara uttered breathlessly before Roman decapitated her head.
