Chapter 24: Validation

Phinn POV

Phinn kept replaying Malaki’s speech and Dorin’s worried countenance from last night. Did the rogue have anything to do with what he had found out in the book? Is that why Dorin looked so concerned? Too many things were occurring to be considered coincidence at this point for Phinn.

That’s why he had to get it into Arion’s head that if she was actually seeing Owen, it was a bad idea. And Phinn would have to prove that it wasn’t about him wanting her. This was for everyone’s protection, especially hers.

Phinn knew he would need the book as evidence to prove to her what he knew and why there was danger, but he was hoping it wouldn’t come to that. He didn’t want to have to risk running into Dorin alone or being caught again. He knew that happened, not only his father but Malaki would be brought into it as well. Which would cause his father to be more furious with him.
