Oriana’s POV
The entire room fell silent. Out of the corner of my eye, I watched Edgar uncomfortably shift from foot to foot. Claude visibly fumed. I’m sure if he was human, his face would be flushed completely red.
My father, however, looked perplexed. “Boyfriend?”
“Him? Of all people?” Claude’s voice was angry. Booming almost. His fiery gaze shot up to Robin as he hissed, “What did you do to her? What did you do to my niece, you fucking mutt?”
“Nothing, Tio—” I tried to interrupt him, but he was angry, that calm and composed expression tossed right out the window as soon as Robin walked through the door.
“I wasn’t talking to you, Ori,” he seethed. My father walked up a few steps and clapped a hand on Claude’s shoulder, but that only seemed to piss him off more as he yanked away, stepping forward to get into Robin’s face. “Is that why you were going around smelling like her?”
