Oriana’s POV
My Nona had sent a company car to pick everyone up from the Lincoln Tunnel. As Edgar got both my father and Tio into the car, I couldn’t help but feel nervous. That last time I had seen my mother, I was so angry with her that I ran away.
Wyatt obviously doesn’t leave pack land very often. He left Edgar in charge while he was gone, bringing Tanner with us in his stead. However, I recognized that he didn’t feel comfortable inviting more vampires on his land after what happened last time.
I got into the car after my Tio, followed by Robin, Tanner and Wyatt. Robin seemed to sense my nerves and wove his fingers between mine, giving me a comforting squeeze. His touch did miracles for me, soothing me.
My father couldn’t even look at me. I didn’t know if he was angrier at me or himself for what he did to me. I thought I was being very mature as I tried to not let those feelings of betrayal blur my judgement. My father was against the window, wrists shackled with silver.
