Chapter 11: A New Outlook

“It’s always something, isn’t it?” I said, looking all around the food court.

“Well, where could he have gone? He’s a man of simple pleasures.” Matt speculated.

“He’s gotta be trying to use that kiddy ride in front of the mall. He loves space rides.” I said and we both sighed. Grayson is a special kind of person but we love him for it.

We left the mall and found Grayson with his knees against his chest as he attempted to fit inside the ride.

“Dude, what are you doing?” I asked him as he looked up, cheeks red with embarrassment.

“Just hanging out. It looked like a cool ride.” He quickly tried to get out but ended up falling because his legs were too big. He eventually stood up and gathered himself.

“What’s up? Find any cool books?” He said, pretending he didn’t scrape his elbow in the process.

“We received a message from the creator. It’s important.” Matt told him.

“Really? What was it?” He asked.

“We should sit down somewhere first.” I said.
