What we walked into was yet again connected to our childhoods together, the mirror house which always sat at the beginning of the carnival. All we could see were our own reflections. The few lights in the space were dim and there was no clear path forward even though we have found our way through this house thousands of times.
“Well, this is a throwback. We might as well be kids again.” Grayson said as he started to put his hands out in front of him to feel the way forward.
“Are you leading the way, Grayson? What if this one isn’t the same as the one back home?” I asked, still standing by the entrance with Matt.
“Why not? I’ll lead. I totally got this guys.” He answered as he proceeded to run straight into a mirror.
“Alright buddy, go for it, we’ll try to help as we go too. Like old times, hands out and baby steps.” Matt said as we got into a line and began slowly walking.
