Chapter 32: Red Roses

VIVIAN’S POV

I was exhausted after a night of working and flirting with strangers. Not to mention dealing with Aiden was a full-time job in itself. He was intimidating and intense with the way he worked. Although, I will admit that his college offer was tempting to take. Julian wasn’t giving me much support in that department, but Aiden was offering to. But it felt, so, wrong to take up an offer from someone I wasn’t with.

I stepped into Julian’s office to find a vase of lush, red, roses sitting on his desk. Red roses that matched my lingerie from the other night when I had talked to Aiden. Red roses that suddenly meant more than I thought they would ever mean. I was used to getting red roses by boyfriends in the past; it was a common color for people to choose. However, the mere sight of them made me sick to my stomach. Whoever was sending them had to know something.
