Chapter 52: The End

JULIAN’S POV

I called Daniel into my office and offered him a drink as soon as he walked through my f*cking door. He raised an eyebrow at me, and I closed the door behind him and locked it.

“What is it?” Daniel took the glass of brandy from my hand and plopped down into the chair he usually sat in.

I downed my glass with a wince and sat in my leather chair. I grabbed the decanter of brandy and poured more into my glass. “I have an offer for you.”

“What’s that?” Daniel tipped his glass back.

“How would you like to be the boss of the organization?” I took another long sip.

“What?” Daniel laughed like I was f*cking pulling his leg.

“I’m dead serious, Daniel.” I set my glass down hard and stared at him with a serious expression. “I’m f*cking tired and we both know you know this business from the inside out. You’re good on the street and in the business. No one can run this h*ll as good as you. My father would want it that way. You can’t tell me he f*cking wouldn’t.”
