Her questions weren't invalid I just didn't know how to answer them completely. I had already completely shattered her entire world; I took a sledgehammer to it instead of tweezers. Javier was right when he said that my sister was strong. She was stronger than she even knew. I hadn't prepared myself for so much fight, but I should have known better than to think that this was going to be easy.
There was nothing easy about any of this. Our past was messy and complicated and the men who were responsible for our childhood still played a very dangerous part in both of our lives. But I stuck to what my gut led me to. She deserved to know everything.
