Chapter 6 Reluctance to Part_1

Qin Yuze had no choice but to pretend he hadn't heard.

He couldn't see, couldn't see, couldn't see anything at all; there was no little auntie, no little monster.

It was all an illusion! All of it was an illusion!

Qin Yuze quickened his pace, walking further and further away, until he vanished in a puff of smoke.

Old Master Qin snorted lightly, "Dear child, we won't bother with him, let's go to school! Today you'll meet new friends!"

Susu nodded, although she actually wasn't very keen on going to kindergarten.

She was one hundred and three and a half years old already! Kindergarten was something she didn't need anymore long ago.

But if her parents wanted her to go, then she had no choice but to go.

Hongfeng Kindergarten, which Susu was to attend, was located within the residential area and was a prestigious institution for children of nobility in the vicinity.

Because it was close by, the elders felt reassured.

Upon reaching the kindergarten, the headmaster, having known that Old Master Qin was coming, had been waiting at the entrance early.

"Old Master Qin, Madame, your visit to our humble school really graces us with your distinguished presence," the headmaster, of short stature with a round face, beamed to the point where his eyes were slits.

He approached enthusiastically, extending both hands to shake hands with Old Master Qin.

This elderly couple was akin to the North Star in Huacheng City's society, having once dominated the city's business world for many years.

Even though they had retired for many years now, everyone in Huacheng City still had to show some courtesy to these elders.

Therefore, as a mere kindergarten headmaster, he naturally didn't dare to offend them.

"No need for formalities," Old Master Qin said with a steady, impassive face, as immovable as Mount Tai.

Except for his own precious daughter, Old Master Qin always maintained composure and dignity to outsiders.

The headmaster glanced at the soft and tiny Susu with a chuckle.

The little girl was fair and delicate, extremely appealing, and looked like a refined porcelain doll.

The headmaster had seen many cute little girls over the years, but this one in front of him was definitely the most exquisite and charming of all.

Smiling, the headmaster said to Qin Family's elders, "I presume this must be the granddaughter of you two?"

"What nonsense are you talking about?!" Old Madame Qin was immediately displeased, "This is our daughter!"

Old Master Qin said solemnly, "This is our daughter, our own flesh and blood!"

"Daughter?" the headmaster's eyes widened as he fixed his gaze on Susu.

He knew Old Master Qin was going to bring a little girl to their kindergarten today, and he thought it would be their granddaughter; he had never imagined it would actually be their daughter!

Susu wasn't shy at all, letting the headmaster have a good look at her with confidence.

It took quite a while for the headmaster to come back to his senses, his smile awkward as he complimented the elders: "Old Master Qin is still strong and vigorous in his old age, it's really admirable!"

In his heart, he sighed that wealthy people really were different; at their age, still able to have children? Was this a medical miracle or a superpower?

"Well, I entrust my precious baby to you! You have to take good care of her!" Old Master Qin urged the headmaster while looking at Susu with reluctant eyes.

This was the first time the little darling had left them since she was born... He was super reluctant, super uneasy!

"Rest assured, we will take good care of her. You can come pick her up at five o'clock," said the headmaster with a smile.

The headmaster had seen many parents who struggled to part with their children, but it was the first time he saw Old Master Qin and Old Madame Qin at such an advanced age still tearfully reluctant.

"Five o'clock? Why so late at five o'clock, can't it be at four?" Old Master Qin was somewhat displeased.

It was only eight o'clock in the morning now!

To wait until five o'clock in the evening meant nine more hours!

Nine hours! He would have to spend a whole nine hours without seeing his dear little child!
