11.

Anduin attaches great importance to the information in the war and sends out several patrol units both on land and air, this makes the Tribe's attack known before they really reach the Redridge pass for almost one hour.

With this amount of time, the defense had already been set up when the orcs arrive. All soldiers got on top of the wall. All ranged units prepare to attack the orc while there are melee units behind to switch with them when the orc climbs onto the wall.

Other than that, Anduin also divide people to defend the army camp and other paths that orcs could use to go through this mountain range. It can be said that after fighting with the Horde for almost half a year at Redridge Mountains, the King's Champion has already transformed this place into a wall of iron (Although the real wall is made out of wood.). If Guldan did not do it himself then don't think about breaching this defense line.

"Lok'tar!" The orcs scream and rush toward the walls like a green tide of waves that will devour everything in its path.

"For Stormwind!" Anduin shouted, the arrow began to fall from the sky like rain, the mages start to cast their spells, and the war machine shot stones and large arrows towards those green tides.

These attacks did not scare the orcs at all. They are natural fighter coupled with the blood of the demon, the dangerous situation only makes them more ferocious, enduring these attacks with their stoic bodies and paving the path with their lives towards the wall.

The Tribe also learns something after many failed siege battles. Many of the orcs held tall ladders made of wood with them.

They even made siege towers from the cart and other parts of destroyed buildings. Although these siege towers are just a frame without any protection it looks strong enough to carry several Grunts on them.

The humans attack from above while the orcs charge fearlessly, both sides killing each other, bodies continuously falling to the ground. The battle in front of the pass looks like a picture that comes out of some fantasy world.

(Actually, this is really a fantasy world.)

While the battle at the pass reaches its white-hot state, the fight at the army camps also processes in full swing. Orcs also realize that this camp is the home of these humans, if they can be destroyed then the opponents will become a homeless tribe and disperse by themselves. So they also put many troops to attack the Redridge camp.

The recognition of the Tribe is a little bit weird but they are correct. Even if the tribe can use the complex terrain to get through the defense line to Elwynn forest it's still just a small number of them, but all of the army's supplies are stored in the camp. If all of them are gone then it can be said that the Stormwind army has already half lost in this battle.

Anduin also knows about this, so he allocates the soldiers guarding them no less than he use in the Redridge pass and also sends one of the strongest individual fighters in this army to guard the wall.

The golden holy light has shone brightly and almost dyed everything on one section of the walls into a deep gold color. The light is gentle yet heavy, giving courage and protection to the footmen while burning the Grunt that climbs onto the wall.

"Hold the line! Don't shrink back!"

"We have Sir Eskalios with us! The holy light will protect us. For the Stormwind!"

Before the fight around one week, Anduin who acknowledges the boy's strength decides to publicize his existence to other soldiers in the camp and made him become some kind of idol like Joan of Arc of the Stormwind Kingdom in order to boost the soldiers' morale.

Eskalios who decide to fully help the Stormwind Kingdom also did not mind that he had become a mascot like this and showed off his skills without any shyness, with the holy light that was better than any priests and fighting skills that can bring down any elite soldier with ease he can convince everyone without any problem.

And the result is also what he and Anduin Expected. People in ancient times is much simple than in the modern-day. They still believe in gods and supernatural power (which really exists in Azeroth.) and did not become materialistic like people in the 20th century.

In a blink of an eye, the boy's status has risen sharply from a normal footman to a figure that status was only slightly lower than Anduin's, they even put the word "Sir" in front of his name which is normally used with the knights or the nobles.

He is Anduin's squire but he did not know any art of war or any tactic. But the mascot's job is just acting cute and doing nothing. And he always feels that his current self prefers to use his muscle more than his brain. Standing at the front line, buffing the allies and chopping down every Grunts that climb up to the wall.

With him as an example, the soldiers who know that the "hero" is with them fight braver without flinching even facing the terrifying tide of the Greenskins.

With the lesson from the castle fight, Eskalios tried to preserve his power as much as possible and will use his power at important moments such as killing exceptionally strong orcs or destroying siege towers that got close to the wall.

As for the normal one? There is an entire army back him up, let them manage those orcs themselves. Aren't they soldiers? Then Fight!

On the wall, the footmen standing in a row and fighting the orcs in an orderly manner. The first row is footmen that form a shield wall, behind them are two rows of spearmen that raise their weapons beyond the shield wall and make it look like a steel wall with iron spikes on it.

Behind these rows of soldiers is another set of elite soldiers holding a sword, preparing to kill everything that passes through 'the steel wall'. This is also a place where Eskalios were placed. With his strength, he had already killed twenty orcs since the fight starts.

But no matter how much he progresses in the past month he is still in the scope of a normal human and cannot play one-man-army. He began to feel tired after fighting for around an hour and signaling the backup soldier that he is exhausted.

There is already a group of soldiers preparing to fill the gap for the soldier that is injured or needs to rest so after he told them, five soldiers hurriedly replace his location and let him retreat back to the bottom of the wall.

"Sir Eskalios, feel free to rest, we will take care of the rest for you." One of the soldiers give him a bag of water and a piece of bread while preparing the location that did not too cramped for his seat, blatantly showing preferential treatment to their 'mascot'.

"Thank you" Eskalios take the food but did not sit down. He walks to the wooden watch tower and looks at the battle situation while eating the food. The height of the tower helps him observe the whole situation clearly.

The soldier in this camp can be said to be the elite of the kingdom, and after fighting with the orcs for quite some time, they also got used to their destructive power. With the help of the tall wall, the defense line on the wall can be said to be stable.

Behind the wall, there are several archer divisions firing at high angles over the wall to the Horde on the other side.

However, the result of their attacks did not play such a role as it should be. The orc's body structure is much bigger than humans. The arrowhead cannot penetrate through their layer of muscles and cause any substantial damage at all.

He has seen the orcs that have dozens of arrows on its body like a porcupine swinging their weapons as if nothing had happened. Although the wound might get infected after the battle it didn't help that much. And the high lethality weapon like the flintlock is also too small in number and cannot be used because did not have a shooting spot, so the main group that use to clean up the orcs are still the footmen.

Eskalios think that this needs to be correct because if they face too many orcs, they will fall into a very dangerous situation.

But this also made him think that the Horde in the First War is really stupid. They should just concentrate to attack one target at a time not divide the troop like this. The Stormwind army cannot fight them on the plain in the first place so they don't have to worry about being flanked.

Or taking a step back, they should change the target if they really can't gnaw this hard bone. Anduin can defend this pass because of the fortification, what about the other area. Just attacking from the Duskwood side and they can gain a huge chunk of land.

This has some reasonable explanation. Most of the tribal chief has a brain full of muscle, and the strategy will come from the tribe's shaman. Now the Horde has abolished the shaman system and replaced them with the warlock led by Guldan, which is busy with the Dark portal and lets Blackhand command all by himself.

As for Blackhand… He's just Guldan's puppet, he's a good fighter but never has the word strategy in his dictionary, all he thinks is that the Tribe is the strongest. Killing the enemies' strong warriors is the highest honor. So his plan is so simple, where's the place that looks most dangerous, where's the place that should be avoided, that's the place that they will attack.

Most of the orcs did not have enough intelligence to know what was right and wrong, and some with brains such as Orgrim also cannot defy his warchief's order, this resulted in the lack of flexibility in the Horde's attack, creating the current situation.

But Eskalios knew that this will not last forever.

The Horde almost has an endless number of troops that can bring from Draenor while the soldier at this camp continues to exhaust. In fact, they did not have to be dragged down like this. If Guldan sensed that the work progress is too slow and decided to participate in the fight then it's the end.

It may be too exaggerated, but don't look at this guy almost smashed to death by Orgrim and being killed by the demons in the tomb of Sargeras, but that should be just because of the script.

As someone who could open something like Dark Portal, he is the existence that represents the ceiling power of the warlock profession without a doubt. This kind of powerhouse randomly shoots one or two spells is enough to destroy the defense line that Stormwind struggles to maintain.

He also didn't think that he can do anything about that, to fight Guldan, He might need to unseal at least thirty to forty percent of the seals before he could fight Guldan, which he did not have any confidence to accomplish, with the speed of his upgrade he should just wait for this guy to die like the original script.

But that does not mean that he will not do anything, at least he needs to find a way to put a good fight with the horde, grinding their elite warrior while securing the kingdom's power as much as possible. With his knowledge from the 20th century, his Ideas should help in some spect.

But before all of that, he needs to get stronger, so he jumps back to join the fray when he regains his strength back after resting, trying to kill the orcs as much as possible.
