Inside A simple restaurant,
A couple were sitting in a private room, the female asked the male,
"So what do you wanna talk about…?"
The male looked at the female and continued,
"I am thinking about starting our own chamber of commerce inside the game… Our village will provide the goods and the chamber of commerce will sell the goods inside the NPC cities."
The couple were obviously Aarv and Prahi. Prahi pondered for a moment and said,
"That is a very good idea, but we need a lot of capital(Money and land) to start our business this early in the game…"
She had the confidence that she could create her own chamber of commerce. Aarv looked at her reluctant face and smiled. He took out a pouch saying,
"Take this first… This much should be enough to start the chamber of commerce…"
He handed the pouch to prahi.
Prahi looked at the pouch with confusion, but when she looked at what was inside, she felt shocked. Inside the pouch contained 2,500 gold coins. She looked at Aarv and said,
"How much money do you have…?"
Now that she had the capital to run the chamber of commerce, A bright smile appeared on Prahi's face. Looking at the beautiful smile, Aarv felt shocked too… but soon he too smiled and said,
"That's not all, let's buy a plot of land in the city for your Chamber of commerce."
Although it would cost a lot of money in earlier stages, once it gets going, the chamber of commerce can act like a hen laying golden eggs.
Prahi looked at Aarv with fervent eyes as she asked,
"What kind of products should we sell…?"
Aarv looked at prahi with a smile, he had already made plans on what to sell in the earlier stages of the game. He said in a mild tone,
"Fish… we will sell fish. Especially in non-coastal cities in India…"
Prahi thought for a while and understood Aarv's meaning. In-game she knew that during the iron ages, most of India's trading was dependent upon horses and carriages. These carriages took months to travel from city to city so daily necessities which came from specific areas were expensive, especially fish, they were very hard to preserve in the early stages.
Aarv had the territory bonus of attracting more sea-related talents. So selling fish was the best option to make quick money in non-coastal cities.
Hearing Aarv's plan, Prahi's eyes lit up. She hurriedly grabbed aarv's hand while dragging him out of the restaurant,
"Let us hurry and go register our chamber of commerce in the game."
Aarv helplessly followed behind looking at cheerful prahi with a smile…
---
After walking for a while, both of them reached the city teleportation area.
After paying 20 gold coins, both of them choose to teleport toward the city of Delhi.
The NPC city of Delhi was much grander than the NPC city of Mumbai.
'So lively…'
Aarv thought as he looked around while walking on the streets of the city.
Soon both of them reached the city Administration office. Each city had an administration office specifically set up to do official work.
Aarv looked at the empty city administration office with a smile. He knew that during the early phases of the game, nobody would have the money to buy a piece of land inside the game.
As he entered the city administration office, a beautiful female came toward Aarv and said politely,
"How may I help you, sir, madam…"
Aarv looked at the realistic looking NPC in front of him and said,
"We are here to buy a plot of land, if you have readymade shops they are fine too…"
After hearing that they were here to buy land, the smile on the lady's face become bright as she enthusiastically replied,
"Come this way, sir…"
The NPC lady took both Aarv and Prahi towards a white crystal. The crystal was glowing with runes and Aarv could vaguely see bright letters revolving around the orb. Once they reached the white crystal, the NPC lady introduced the crystal that was placed in front of her.
"This is a memory crystal. It contains all the properties that are for sale. They all contain properties inside and outside all NPC cities…"
Similar to the stone placed inside the town hall, when Aarv put his hand on the crystal, a new screen appeared in front of him giving him a list of all the territories for sale.
After checking the list, Aarv felt quite shocked…
He saw many important territories on the list, for example, Gharapuri Caves, Area 54 (Where natural gas was first found in Mumbai…), and Region of Thane (Where bauxite ore was found…).
All the resource filled areas were listed for sale on the list. Their price was also appropriate for their value; for example, Area 54 was placed at 50 million gold coins.
Aarv kept scrolling down while taking note of all the important properties for sale. At last, at the bottom of the list, he found some properties that he could actually afford. He picked a small plot of land inside the city for 1,000 gold coins per year lease.
After confirming with Prahi, he told the NPC girl,
"I will pick this plot of land…"
He also paid 1,000 gold coins up front to lease the plot of land for at least a year. He also marked 4 more plots of land around the city which were cheaper but were in good locations. His main goal was to set up multiple shops with multiple items selling at a time.
After signing the documents Aarv teleported back to his own territory. He saw that the people he met earlier had already arrived at the town and started surveying the town. They had strict instructions from Aarv's father that they should handle everything perfectly.
Seeing them work hard while plotting and measuring land, Aarv gave a satisfied nod.
While this was happening, an old man came to aarv and presented him with a blueprint. Aarv took the blueprint and saw that it was a city building plan for his town. The plan looked pretty much similar to how the villages of murud and janjira looked in modern-day except for a few changes such as passes and a huge city wall.
'Hmm…'
Aarv looked at the city blueprint with some thought.
'It's too small…'
He wanted to develop his city into a capital city, but the blueprint in front of him was too small for a capital city. He asked the old man,
"This is too small… you need to include the mountain on the west side of the bay too…"
Looking at the map, the old man thought for a while and then his eyes glowed as he excitedly asked,
"Young Master, your meaning is to…"
Aarv cut him off mid-sentence… He knew that revealing too much information might not be a good thing.
"Good that you understand… start working on the new blueprint…"
The old man bowed to Aarv and left with a happy face. He knew that this city might be his greatest work yet…
Behind them, Prahi looked confusingly at them. She knew that it was inappropriate for her to ask so she kept quiet.
