Story of Maharaja prithviraj Chauhan -II

----

After attacking many cities in the Ajmer kingdom, Qutubuddin Aibak heard rumours stating that the third wife of maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan was a country toppling beauty. He also heard about her being in the fort of Ajmer along with all her palace maids and royal ladies.

Without thinking, he marched his forces towards the fort of Ajmer. The fort was among the most well-protected forts in Rajput history as it was based on a hill and surrounded by a valley of the Jamuna river.

Qutubuddin Aibak looked at the valley in front of him. He knew that it was impossible to conquer the fort because his soldiers were unable to climb up the valley.

So he ordered his soldiers,

"Bring all the Hindu slaves and let their bodies fill up the valley…!"

The Arab army started to follow his instructions, filling the valley with dead bodies of the 'Hindu Slaves' they captured.

It took the Arab army close to 6 months to fill the whole valley with dead bodies of Hindu warriors. After seeing that the valley has been filled to the brim and his army can directly reach the fort walls, Qutubuddin Aibak ordered his elephant forces to march and broke the fort gates.

But the fort gates were sturdy and equipped with Iron nails on the outside of the gate.

Seeing no progress being made, Qutubuddin Aibak took traitor Jaichand's son as a meat shield in front of the elephants to protect them from the nails.

Finally, the fort was breached by the Arab forces. Qutubuddin Aibak excitedly led all of his army inside the fort…

But before him, was nothing but an immense cremation ceremony conducted by all the Hindu ladies inside the fort.

At that time, After hearing about the false news of Prithviraj Chauhan's death, Maharani Sanyogita along with her infant daughter and thousands of palace ladies and noblewomen performed Jauhar.

They burned themselves to death but never let the attacking Muslim forces touch their pure and chaste bodies.

Seeing the immense cremation ceremony, Qutubuddin Aibak was so mad that he ordered his soldiers to raise the Ajmer fort to the ground.

This was an immense victory for Hinduism but also a very heart-wrenching story for all the Rajput warriors.

They kept all the agony in their heart… All the frustration… The tears of blood that flowed that night became the driving force for all the Rajput warriors for centuries to come…!

After his victory in Ajmer, Ghori was very impressed with Qutubuddin Aibak's achievements and he also heard rumours about Qutubuddin Aibak and her daughter's secret relationship. So he relieved Qutubuddin Aibak from his slave title and made him in charge of the Indian region and married his daughter with him.

He also appointed Prithviraj Chauhan's drunkard brother Hriraja as the next ruler and vessel under the Arab army and left India along with imprisoned Prithviraj Chauhan in 1193.

While he was travelling back to Gaznavi, Ghori met a famous poet named Chand Bardai, an old friend of Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan.

Chand Bardai told Ghori that Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan was not only a master of swords but also a master of bows and arrows. He told Ghori that Prithviraj Chauhan had mastered archery to such a level that he could target anything just by hearing

.At first, Ghori wanted to bring Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan to Ghaznavi. But after hearing that Prithviraj Chauhan had such a skill, he decided to test it out himself.

So, he plucked out both eyes of Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan and ordered ten soldiers to stand in front of him. He also gave Prithviraj Chauhan a bow and ten Arrows and ordered his soldiers to make noise.

After the first soldier made a sound, Prithviraj Chauhan killed him immediately. Then second, third, fourth… Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan killed a total of nine soldiers.

"Subhanallah…"

Ghori was shocked to see the mastery that Prithviraj Chauhan had achieved with archery. He accidentally praises Prithviraj Chauhan.

That's when the last arrow in Prithviraj Chauhan's hand released, not towards the tenth soldier but towards Ghori. and before one could believe what happened, Ghori's dead body fell to the ground. Even in death, he dared to think about what happened.

The Muslim soldiers after seeing Ghori's body land on the ground madly rushed toward Maharaj Prithviraj Chauhan. Seeing them appear near, Chand Bardai quickly went and hugged Prithviraj Chauhan from behind. He said,

"This is all I can do for you, my friend…!"

And he stabbed his Khanjar and killed Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan. Then he lifted his Khanjar and stabbed himself to death.

This was the end of one of the most powerful warriors in history Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan.

He was buried by Arabs outside the mycelium of Ghori so that all the Muslims who visited Ghori's tomb can take their shoes on his pure body until a Rajput tiger came and brought Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan's Ashes back to India.

He couriered Prithviraj Chauhan's ashes back to India in April 2005. this Rajput tiger's name was Sher Singh Rana...
