Lucifers POV
Of course, she couldn't give me the exact location, or it would have been suspicious for me to just appear on their property, but this was ridiculous. I was about 2 miles away, and surrounded by forest. Using my gem as a compass, I moved in the direction it showed me.
I could sense when I hit their territory, as my senses heightened. No vampire wants to be on wolf land, we could be killed on the spot. Continuing, I came across a huge house, with a beautiful garden.
I may be evil, but I do enjoy the beauty of a garden. Keeping to the treeline, I moved around until I found her room. Everyone in the house was sleeping, so I scanned the house and went on to figure out the layout. I had to figure out the best way in without being noticed. After an hour, I got a bit closer to my goal and went into a tree to wait for them to awaken. I wanted everyone to know when she was killed.
Alex's POV
Sitting in their living room, thinking over what had just happened, I got a call from Jasmine, Alpha of the Element clan.
"Evening Jasmine. A bit late for a call, this must be urgent."
"Alex, sorry to disturb your evening but I have disturbing news. One of my betas and brother, Stone, was found dead on the edge of our territory. He had been betraying the pack, so this news does not sadden us. I was calling to warn you, that he was working with vampires. Be careful and warn others. I have a feeling he helped do something."
"Thanks for the warning. Stay safe yourselves, he put a target on your back."
Signing, I threw the phone on the couch and started to pace. One of us working with the enemy was never a good sign. Gripping my hair, I pulled in anger. As if sensing my anger, Moom came in, hugging me from behind.
"Stop pacing, you are so loud," she said groggily.
Freezing, I slowly turned towards her. This was the first time she had touched me willingly, and sam purred at the contact.
"Sorry for waking you, but I have some news. Alpha Jasmine contacted me, her brother, Stone, was found dead. He betrayed his pack and worked with vampires. A warning has been sent out to all packs."
This news brought her out of the groggy state, now wide awake. Her eyes glazed over, before she came back I had nuzzled into her neck.
Signing in contentment, she returned the gesture. Her scent was intoxicating.
"I warned my pack, they moved into our underground facility. They should be safe there," she mumbled into my neck.
I nodded in response, licking the spot where her mark would go. She shivered in response. Moving pack a pace, I fell into the couch, unsure of what to do. Moon sat next to me, cuddling into my side. Wrapping my arm around her, we fell asleep. I was glad she was starting to accept me as her mate.
