Moonstone's POV
It was finally time for me to start training Moon. Michelle had given me some books to read, to help me understand how to train her. It wasn't easy, considering how little was documented. I want this to run smoothly, so I decided to go to Michelle and get some one-on-one help.
"Just on time my dear, ready to start?"
Startled, I turned around. Standing behind me was Michelle, already holding a satchel.
"Oh, goddess you scared me. Yes, I am, of course, you knew I needed extra help." I replied, shaking my head.
Smiling, she fazed us to the castle library. Placing down her satchel, he pulled out various journals.
"These are my journals. I kept them as a way to be able to document how my powers work in case of an emergency. If all had gone well with Morgana not being a nuisance, I would have been able to personally train Moon. This will have to do for now." She said, waving her hands over the various journals. " She will be able to access these in her mindscape, so for your job, you will be directing her summoning and her practice with the weapons. Everything else she will, unfortunately, have to do on her own accord."
Nodding, we got to work. Moon has several weapons she can summon, 3 swords, 2 staffs, and 2 bows and arrows. I watched as Michelle showed me how to summon each one, taking notes on how to guide Moon through this.
After about an hour, Michelle was sure I was ready and she sent me to Moon.
'Dear, you have to wake up, we have important work to do,' I said lightly shaking her.
'Mom? Oh is it training time already?' she replied groggily, turning her mindscape into a training room. It resembled a field, with targets, dummies, and different agility courses.
'Yes, it is. Now, I was shown how to guide you to summon your various weapons. Each has a different purpose and some require specific tactics.'
'Yeah, Mom sent her journals to me and I know a bit about controlling them. Nothing there about summoning them though, probably good to not let that escape into the wrong hands,' Moon replied, signaling to a tree stump table off a ways from us.
'Alright! Let's goooooo!' Star came bounding towards us, stopping just short.
'Good, I believe you already know your role?' I asked Star, earning a nod.
' For your swords, you must touch the emblem on your wrist.'
'What about the emblem on my neck, the galaxy?' Moon asked, glancing down at her wrist. The emblem was the ying yang symbol surrounded by a green ring.
'That is for your other weapons. Now, touch the white side and you will summon the sword that ressurcets.'
As Moon did so, sword with a glittering mist as the blade appeared. Swinging it around, she got used to its weight.
'Toucht the black side and you will summon the sword that kills.'
The resurrection sword sheathed itself on her back, and a black sword with flames as the blade appeared. This one seemd to drag Moon down a bit, but she quickly regained her footing.
'The final sword you have encompases both, so hit the center of the emblem. Each sword uses a bit of your energy, drawn from your powers as moon goddess, so you shouldnt be drained when summoning them. These will be the most commonly used weapons.' I explained, as she summond the last sword.
It was more of a dagger, smaller than the other two but could easily adjust sizes. The hilt was golden and the blade resembled the aurora borealis, a mist of all the colors.
When all three were sheathed, they disappeared. It was a precaution, when she needed them, she could simply unsheath them from her back, as long as she touched the whole emblem beforehand.
'Now is where Star comes in. The Bows and arrows require you to draw upon your skills as a wolf. When summoned, Star will be able to track and control where they go. You have 2, one for tracking and one for teleporting. Star will be able to track well with her senses and be able to control where you teleport to. Simply draw back as if you had the bow already.' I explained, watching as Star's concentration increased.
As Moon drew back, one bow materilized in her hands, the other in a holster on her hip. By second nature, Moon pulled back on the string, and the bow appeared, ready to be released. The tracking bow was wooden, with gold engravings of wolves, which would help sharpen Stars senses and the arrowhead was stone, with a compass engraved. The teleportation bow was crystal, while the arrow was a shimmering mist. When used, once the location is set, the arrow turns a light green and the bow shows the location. When fired, the tracking arrow simply flies off to it target and star can follow its scent. Once it reaches its target, it disappears. The teleportation arrow will dissipate into a portal to the location designated.
'These are to be used when you need to track and telepot to that place quickly. They can take alot out of Star, even when the can recover quickly. You two are a team,' I said, watching as Moon and Star looked at eachother. As the bows dissipated, it was now time to do the most costly weapons.
'Before we do the staffs, you have to understand that these 2 are to only be used if absolutely necessary. They work off of your life force. And if they are even used within a short time of eachother, you could fall comatose. You can't die, due to you being a goddess, but it is better to have you awake.'
She hesitantly nodded. I walked up to her, grasping her hands in mine.
'You got this, I believe in you. You already know how to use all these weapons and you will be an amazing ruler.'
Smiling, she was ready for this challenge.
'In order to summon these, you will be drawing them from your galaxy mark on your neck. These will be drawing energy straight from you, so this will be taxing. Luckily, the two staffs are conjoined so you will only have to do this once.'
Taking a breath, she began to draw her hand away from her galaxy mark, and I watched as it glowed and the staff began to materialize. It took her a minute to gather herself, but she quickly was able to fully summon it. It is a gold staff, which branches in two at the top. Each section holds a stone, the banishing stone was a galaxy crystal and the guarding stone was a smoky quartz crystal. The side she was using would glow and rise from its place. It was truly a beautiful staff.
Wielding it, Moon truly looked like the Goddess. I was so proud of her but, I could see that her energy was dwindling.
'You did an amazing job sweetheart, now it time for you to get some rest. The battle will be coming and we need you are your best.'
With that, I sent her into a deep sleep, to help her recover. I returned to the castle to report her work.
"I do hope she is strong enough, I can sense that Morgana is getting restless," Michelle said, sighing.
"I know she will be, she has always been strong."
