The only hope she has of escaping all this pain is school. Since they can't stand her, they send her to a public school, not the pack school.
 In school she tends to keep to herself, spending all her free time reading. The many mental adventures are the only reason she is happy. They allow her to be transported into another world, one without pain or torture. One with love, kindness, and most importantly, a happy ending.
She gave up hope of ever finding a mate. The pack has drilled into her mind that no one will ever love her. Phoenix, her wolf, is the only friend she has and helps her through everything.
Late at night when everyone is sound asleep, she lets phoenix take over and they run. That is the only time they can finally escape the horror they live in.

Mistreated, Abused, and Unloved- A Luna's Tale

"Ezera! You better be up! School in 30!" called my mom, Donatella, up the stairs.


I groaned as I shifted to get out of my bed. Today was the day that I started at a public school. The pack school, well it was easy for me. I was excited. I might meet my mate today. I got ready for school and went downstairs to get breakfast.


"Thank god! I thought that I might have to send Hunter in and god knows what she would have done." my mom chuckled, as I walked in.


If my sister had gone in, she would have dumped ice onto me. Then she would have run out and hidden behind mom.


As I finished breakfast, I kissed my mom, goodbye. Then it was off to school, in my W Motors Lykan Hypersport.


When I got out of my car, I was stared at. Some girls squealed, others started to swarm me. I groaned and shoved through the field of girls. 


With me, I had my beta, Alex, and his mate, Linda. It was a safety precaution. A few other werewolves went to this school, so they all knew who I was.


The three of us, after escaping the girls, went to the office. I waited outside the office, while Alex and Linda went to grab our schedules and make sure they were in sync.


 As I was sitting there, my wolf, Leo, started going crazy.


'Mate! I smell our mate!' he happily cried out.


Then, I started to smell it as well. It smelled like rain, cinnamon, and...blood. 


My heart stopped. Why was my mate surrounded by the scent of blood?


The next thing I knew, I was on the floor, clutching my chest in pain. Alex and Linda ran out of the office, sensing my pain.


"What's wrong?" Alex asked, helping me off the floor.


Right after they spoke, I grabbed my shoulder, in agonizing pain. They looked at me, concern written in their expression.


Once the pain subsided, I got off the floor, slowly. We made our way to our classes. The first 5 hours went by quite fast. The entire time, I was thinking about my mate. I needed to find her and keep her safe.


When lunch came around, I was very anxious. I needed to find my mate. As I walked into the lunchroom, I was once again swarmed by girls. Sadly, none were my mate. Leo whined and I left the room.


'I am going to the field. I will be back before the hour is over.' I said, through mind-link, to Alex.


He grunted a reply and I was on my way to the field.


 Leo wanted to track her scent. As I walked past the library door, I smelled her intoxicating scent again. At this point, Leo was trying to claw his way into control. I had to sprint out of there before I shifted. 


I barely made it to the woods, before Leo broke free. He was pissed.


'I can't shift in school. You would have made a ruckus,' I replied, sighing.


After Lunch, Leo had cooled off and let me regain control. I grabbed some clothes that I had brought and went back inside.


The next 4 hours were, well, horrible. Leo wanted to track her down and I had to keep him in check. After the last bell rang, I bolted out the door.


Once I was farther away, I turned around and saw another student dashing out of the school. Seemed normal, so I went on home,


When I got back, I went up directly to my room. I didn't even have time to collect my thoughts before sleep consumed me. I just barely made it to my bed.


Dang, keeping Leo in check, took more out of me than I thought.
