Chapter 238: Mockery

"I became a true Immortal like you as well," Vor answered with a smirk on his lips.

He could've easily told them the truth about his past, but he didn't want to give them an opportunity to look down on him for being unable to save his people. Instead of telling the truth, he told them an absurd lie. It was also somewhat amusing for him to see their reaction to his lies.

The reason Progenitors could feel safe even in the presence of the Werewolves was because they were truly immortal. Their immortality was what created a balance between him and the venom of the Royal Wolves.

Unlike them, the Werewolves had to die sooner or later, so it was often the turn of the younger generation to take over, which made sure that there were no Werewolves who lived long enough to be a threat to the Progenitors.

Vor told the two Progenitors that the balance was broken, and now he was also true immortal.
