"W- w- what?" Nicholas asked as he stumbled back, shocked by the news Ryenne had just told him. 


He was in disbelief. This was exactly what everyone warned him against. 


But how was it possible, he had only been with Ryenne a handful of times? Was it really that easy to conceive.


"Nicholas, talk to me." Ryenne said as she cupped his face in her hands.


She could see he was shocked, unable to fully process the news.


"Nicholas, I'm pregnant, I'm having our baby." Ryenne repeated to him as Nicholas still seemed to be in a state of shock.


Instinctively, Nicholas placed his hand on her flat belly and closed his eyes.


He knew that he should have trusted Ryenne, but he needed to check for himself, he needed to know if what she said was true.


Since he was in such a flustered state, Nicholas had to calm himself down first, taking deep breaths, focusing on his magic.


He used his magic to explore Ryenne's body, and when he sensed it he stopped.
