Nicholas sat on his throne-like chair as people began to gather in the Council Chambers. 


Everyone of consequence was invited to join. Nicholas wanted everyone to be informed of what was happening. He didn't want his people to be left in the dark. 


There was a buzz in the room as people chatted among themselves, occationaling glancing at Nicholas, if they dared.


Beside him, on a lower chair sat Brie. This was a way of presenting her to the Corporali Clan not only as his future wife and queen, but as their ally as well.


They were wary of looking at Brie, she was still a member of the royal family, and most present knew she was powerful by her own right.


"Has everyone arrived?" Nicholas asked Dion as his uncle and chief minister took his place by Nicholas' side.


"Almost, father will speak once everyone is here." Dion whispered to the prince, who was starting to get bored.
