Nicholas was in his uncles laboratory, running another experiment with dark mana when Dion and Connor came charging in.


To his surprise, even his grandfather was there.


"A minute." Stephen called out as he finished corrupting another prisoner's mana. 


This time he would be prepared for the effects. This time he wouldn't be guessing what happened next. 


He wouldn't be caught off guard when the pest tried to feed off his life force. This time he would do better to control it.


When he finally finished, the man passed out and was dragged into an empty cell.


"Drug him." Dion ordered, surprising Nicholas with his command. 


"You normally don't interfere with our experiments." Isaiah told his younger brother as he approached.


"I have to this time." Dion frowned as he handed a bloody parchment to Stepehen.
