"Then, why?" She closed her eyes as electricity coursed through her body with that slight contact of his lips on her skin.

The Dark Prince and The Runaway Heiress

Avana had avoided Adam for the rest of lunch after another unexpected encounter with him. She just did not like the effect his presence had on her.

"Ava, we are going in thirty minutes to the festival," Jace said as he packed up his supplies in the clinic and cleaned up after his last patient. "I will take it from here."

She tried to help out a little while he performed his examination of his patients, wanting to earn her keep. She could not be a freeloader for the rest of her short stay here.
