That fateful night had changed everything. The King seemed to have returned to become his loving father again. He would take him on his hunts and even allow him to kill some small animals.

The King seemed genuinely pleased at everything he did excellently. He kept praising him and even giving him more responsibility in his army. Soon, his father promised he would become one of his best soldiers and lead thousands of his men into war.

"I swear I will make you proud, father." He still remembered saying those words to his father, thinking it was the happiest day of his life as he looked into his father with pride.

But not everything it would seem had returned to the way it was. He still noticed the strain in the relationship between his father and mother. Although they tried to act like normal before him, he still felt the difference.
