They said that a near-death experience would make her see her life as it flashed before her eyes. Was she about to die? She wondered since she could scarcely think of anything except the beast before her.

"Help!" Ivrea had spoken in her hardly audible voice, hoping her friend would hear her. "Please, go away. Do not hurt me." She directed her words to the wild creature standing before her, growling in anger.

Thankfully, she noticed that her friend ran toward her but stopped just a few meters behind the large dog-like furry creature. She could not blame her because the animal was a bit intimidating.

Maybe due to panic and fear, her friend, just like her, also failed to cast a spell that would hinder the wild animal from attacking her. It appeared she was like a sitting duck, just waiting to meet her end.
